Great post! Everything you mentioned, I agree with it. Even I feel it is not hate.

Hate and love are 2 extreme emotions that humans carry in life.
AJ is different when guddan is around because she is what she is and says whatever is inside out there is no pretense in her .
Guddan is only lady who always challenged aj without fear .
Seems like aj likes strong character like guddan .
Why he chose guddan thinking that no matter what she won't love him in return because he thinks she hates him and that will be easy for him to keep her away and no trouble from her side for attention.

But after he got to know guddan her antics her innocence her straight forwardness really impressed .
The day she came to ask for help that's when he could see her being selfless along with not so greddy.

There is sort of liking started but his ego is big and his love for his past .

Same with guddan the day she realized aj is not bad as he appeared and the help he needed made her respect him .
His words do affect her immensely good or bad.

After he let her free she realized she lost something special so cake happened then he shooed her but she can never hate him because she knows she is wrong.

Today we saw aj angry but it was not hate but frustration because she was his first choice .
Marriage was a headache already for him but guddan added more ghee to his already burnt heart.

Her walking away has somewhere impacted him in some way he is ready to marry anyone like a robot unlike guddan were she always excited him with challenges and her cuteness

Aj is a boring person but guddan was firecrackers so obviously he will be missing the fun

They say opposite attracts.


Guddan has no feelings at this moment because she feels he is senior citizen.
Let's hope they realize the love they have .

i believe guddan has developed some sort of attraction for AJ as when he put mehendi on Shweta's hand, she had that look on her face as if her heart was sinking.

& i think his age isn't the factor thats putting a stop to her feelings, its his kharoos nature.

As she was acting very sweet in the cake scene till he showed his kharoos nature.

Even during mehendi when she went to tell him about her running away plan his kharoos nature stopped her.

+ for now she is too immature to understand a complex feeling like love. So i think when she falls for AJ she won't be able to define this feeling. Yes she will be restless, unable to describe her feelings to anybody & that will make her jump here & there creating more mess.

on the other hand AJ being experienced in love will be in pain. As he will sense it he is falling for her but will always deny it or try to stop himself from accepting her. He will be fighting a war with himself.

But however their, journey to love will be a treat to watch

There are many things guddan did which can is enough to trigger an negative emotion ( i am not defining it as hate yet ). Here is an account of biggest incidents:-

---> Guddan's action:- smashed cake on his face & sunaoed him in his party & unconsciously

walked on the glasses, thus completing the challange

AJ's reaction:- screamed "get out"

Flashback:- when stepmom accidentally attempted to walk on glasses, he delivered an epic insult.

---> Guddan's action:- Sita kand

AJ's reaction:- noting relevant

Flashback:- His bajaoed the sons cause of their inability to control their wives at midnight

due to the same kand.

---> Guddan's action:- Jumped with him in the pool & then gave an epic dhamki

AJ's reaction:- Behaved like an stern Babysitter, gave a samjaoing type scolding & picked her up till gate to see her off.

---->Guddan's action:- Lost Antra's ring (according to him) & dared to bring a fake one (i think he understood it, she isn't involved in bringing an fake one)

AJ's reaction:- Gave a light scolding & then jumped off to fulfill his babysitting duty by stopping her from falling into the pool.

Flashback: he is very sensitive for anything related to Antra like he sunaoed the bahus when they forgot to put "suji ka halwa" in front of Antra's portrait on his birthday.

---->Guddan's action:- Runaway from mehendi

AJ's reaction: Pacifies the father & Babysitter to the rescue

Flashback: His bahus wanted to go out & watch movie with their husbands without informing him & he taunted them till next morning.

All above incidences prove that he behaves & reacts very differently around guddan.

Though we heard him admit "he hates her" to both himself & guddan, his actions don't seem to reflect the same.

AJ hates perv & the way he talks to him reflects pure disgust. So you know he loathes this guy.

Then in 1st episode the intensity with which he was shooting insults to the stepmom, you could tell that was Hate at 1st sight. Though later he was behaving better as he wanted to marry guddan but he surely hadn't forgotten her greedy eyes & that's why he got those expensive gifts.

But throughout all the interactions with guddan till now, none of his actions or reactions have come even an edge close to the shadow of anything mentioned in the above paragraph.

Surely he doesn't love her nor does he has any positive feelings for her.He just doesn't like her.

She irritates him, angers him , makes him frustrated & confused maybe because most of the time he is unable to figure out on how to react to her ? Her acts are unpredictable & he can never get control of her. That makes him frustrated.

As you see, he is always surrounded by people, he is in control of, like his bahus, sons, his staffs, even his mother (though emotionally).

+ he even put a leash on perv & can also control the stepmom.

But with Guddan he has to be on his toes running behind her or with her. None of his controlling tactics work on her. She always challenges him. This is something he isn't used to. & he doesn't like this change which is his destiny.

Like this conversation happened between them in "sita kand" summarizes the above point:-

AJ:- mere zindagime, ya phir mere kamreme, kisi bhi tara ka badlao lane ki koshish tak

mat karna

Guddan :- par badlao toh sristi ka niyam hai !

So from AJ's side i can conclude:- a strong dislike but not hate

Guddan's side:

For all these years she couldn't harbour even a string of negative feeling for her stepmom says that she is incapable of hating anyone except for a filthy creature like perv.

I doubt does she even knows the meaning of the word "hate".

Though she claims to hate AJ, she lacks a basis or a strong reason for this hate.

In the 1st episode he insulted her stepmom but then she even smashed the cake on his face. So they were even then, as she witnessed the whole scene on why AJ misunderstood her stepmom.

Ya, she doesn't like his kharoos attitude but then again he saved her numerous times + got rid of perv. & she is grateful for that too.

Even she tried to save him from groons in her ways as she thought he is buzurg.

& lately she took cake for him in his office & very cutely asked him to finish the cake.

None behaves like this around a person they hate.

In fact her claims of hating AJ sounds more like a child's ranting,

" yeh kisi se baat nahi karta,

yeh kitna kharoos hai,

I hate him !!!"

So from this side too :- No real hate

beautiful post👏...they dont hate each other.they just dont like each other .disliking 2.someone and hate 2 someone is compeletely different.if any human 2 hate someone then he wants 2 bad for that person.it is a human tendency

Guddan's mental block around his age and strict nature is in conflict with the gentleman she sees in him as well from time to time. She struggles to reconciles these two aspects.

She was AJ's first choice because he recognized her honesty and strength of character, which is important for dealing not just with him but also the 3 daughters-in-law. He believes she won't be a clingy wife that would expect attention from her husband, so that he can just have a marriage in name only with her to fulfill Antra's last wish. Also, somewhere inside him, he wants to see Guddan succeed at this new role, so that people stop telling her "tumse na ho payega".

I think his maturity, patience, stability, and influence will help her grow and really overcome her confidence issues that have been built up over the years due to her stepmom's unfair attitude towards her. Guddan is forever trying to seek her approval and failing, but one day she will learn to accept and love herself for who she is without caring about what people say regarding her failures.

This is just speculation based on the setup where the husband is much older than his young wife and gives her the space and support to find her own identity, while her youth brings him out of his self-imposed exile from the joy of life, which is what I expect this show is ultimately about.
