Is Aamir Khan NOT happy with Thugs Of Hindostan VFX?

It is set to hit the screens on November 8 during the Diwali weekend

YRF's upcoming action-adventure fantasy drama Thugs of Hindostan is one of the highly-anticipated films of the year. Featuring the ensemble star-cast of Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh, it is one of the most expensive Indian projects. While the film has crossed 52 million views on YouTube, Mr Perfectionist is quite worried for the movie as the fans have criticized the VFX of the film.

As per the report from Dainik Bhaskar, a source close to the actor said, "Aamir is someone who keeps a hawk's eye on audience reaction towards his films. He is a little worried with viewers criticising the VFX used in the movie as can be seen in the trailer. He is now in talks with the team to see what best could be done to make sure the special effects in the final movie is up to the mark. He has conveyed the message subtly that VFX needs to be of superior quality.

Now the actor is suggesting the makers to bring some of the VFX changes in crucial scenes. "It will be difficult to change everything wholly but there will be a few corrections here and there to make it look as best as possible since Diwali is still a month away. Honestly, we can't expect a major turn around looking at the release date of the film, but let's see, if the makers will improvise the VFX of this mega-budget film. Talking about the film, it is directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, who previously helmed Dhoom 3. It is set to hit the screens on November 8 during the Diwali weekend.

Please do. It's cringe-worthy in some parts 😵 Esp. the part where the ship is being shown sailing in the sea.

I really hope they pay heed and do it though. VFx is not the main issue but has been the main criticizing and humorous part for sure. Content wise, it's fine for a masala movie.

That's good one thing about Aamir is that he acknowledges things that are not upto the mark and tries to make the corrections, tho this gonna be tuff since it's VFX that too a month away am pretty sure the feedback got to him as well

VFX of all are films suck. Even for 2.0, Shankar said the VFX he could afford was mid-grade quality.

Our budgets are the limitation here. We can't compete with Hollywood yet.

And if films like TOH and 2.0 being panned, what else can one expect for films with less than 100Cr budget? 🥱

You get what you paid for. 😆

All our upcoming period films will have reviews with a paragraph on how the VFX was shoddy/ could improve etc. 😛

Fake news by useless Bollywood Life's unknown "sources" and question marks (like shown in Sanju)

The VFX is one of the best in Bollywood

I loved it and the film is going to look stunning on the big screen

Aamir is totally satisfied with the final product that is why he gave it the green signal for showcasing the trailer and film or otherwise he would have delayed the release

Stop this bullshit. Nobody is buying it.

Ab jo hona tha wo ho gaya. Itne budget mein harry potter level vfx expect nahi kar sakte.

I think it will look good on big screen. They showed the trailer in theatres the day i watched sui dhaaga. It looked very nice.

Best of luck aamit. Please release the songs now is all i ask.

It was done by YRF.

Yes, BW can't compete with the budgets HW has for their films at the moment, but it is still possible to have good VFX on a budget. It needs a creative team & director as well. For example, a movie like Detectuve Byomkesh Bakshi looked much better and richer than a BV, with a 3rd of the budget.
