Toh Aisi (1988), actor Salman Khan has
had a successful stint in his 30 years
long career. Moreover, he has served as a
mentor to many Bollywood newcomers,
from Katrina Kaif to Zareen Khan and
Daisy Shah to Sooraj Pancholi. The latest
to join the bandwagon is, of course, his
brother-in-law Aayush Sharma, who is
being launched opposite debutante
Warina Hussain in Loveyatri, made under
the banner of Salman Khan Films.
Now, in a recent interview with a leading
daily, Salman opened up on investing in
new talent and the responsibility that
comes with it. Talking about it, he
said, "Back in the day, I was a newcomer
looking for that magical break. Today,
I'm in a position to introduce
youngsters. He further added, "If you
introduce talent, you need to invest in
them and ensure that they put their best
foot forward. What is important to me is
to make a nice product and ensure that
it's a safe bet.

Meanwhile, he was all praises for Aayush
and Warina and said, "Both the boy and
the girl are really good. The way they
have danced, their chemistry on screen,
the way Abhiraj K Minawala has shot the
film, it's great.
Apart from them, Salman is also
launching Zaheer Iqbal and Pranutan
Behl and has a dedicated talent-
management division as well. Claiming
that it takes time to find and nurture
new talent, the actor added, "Till the time
I don't see the spark, dedication and
devotion to their craft, I won't think
about it. He also talked about how it is
on the actors to make full use of the
opportunity and quipped, "My job is to
sign them and give them important films.
Their job is to use the opportunity well
and stay invested in themselves.
Salman concluded by saying that he does
not feel burdened while launching new
talent since they do the films that maybe
he would have done if he had dates.
"Earlier, we used to act in six-to-eight
films a year. I don't know how we
managed, but today, even if we want to,
we can't, he said.
On the work front, Salman will next be
seen in Ali Abbas Zafar's Bharat
alongside Katrina Kaif. He will also be
reprising his role of Chulbul Pandey
in Dabangg 3 opposite Sonakshi Sinha.
