Varun has been pretty consistent to now. He is safe bet. Block buster will come at since point but to reach the top the actor needs to be consistent with hits. Ranbir had a blockbuster after a series of failures but to remain at top he needs to follow up with hits.

Similarly Salman and Aamir have an air of invincibility. Thats why no one clashes their films with them. Aamir's case his directors reached the top with him. No one was able to repeat that success. Even Hirani had successful films but his biggest were with Aamir. So Aamir became bigger than the director Hirani. But Hirani being able to repeat his success with another actor and make it bigger means Aamir's stardom suffers a jolt.

I missed out reading this comment...I do understand wht u r trying to say...see wht I was stating that when those films released that time Aamir was bigger brand than Hirani...any film of any star worked only due to team effort even in the past ...don't see Hirani's recent successful film being a jolt to Aamir's stardom as he had delivered biggest hits with other directors too...

I didn't find his recent movie being successful surprising either as it's content was based on a controversial moviestar and had Hirani at the helm maybe that kind of numbers was little surprising...I had said it even before that movie's promotions... like Rajamouli,Shankar,Hirani too is one of the biggest directors in the country today...

SRK is affected by a string of underperforming films...and that is also the primary reason others r clashing with him or he is avoiding clashes...
