And Aamir as some sheen comes off his own stardom contributing to 3I and PK. And probably Hirani will go to Ranbir again with his next film which wont make Aamir happy.

One BB in Sanju doesn't get rid of disasters like BV and Tamasha

I know you cant see outside of Dollars...but Tamasha definitely has a cult following. I also think its a very well made film...I am sure it will also have good residuals for amazon/Netflix type portals as well. 20 years from now Tamasha is going to be viewed the same way we look back at Andaaz Apna Apna..How on earth could this have flopped? Were movie goers demented?

I guess you are right. It did open bigger than JHMS after all. And he never loses money for his producers. Fair, I will give that opening to him.

Sui Dhaaga looks very unconventional, so mayne Kalank can be that big break through. 😆

lol JHMS...😆 I toh wouldn't watch that or anything Imtiaz makes even if the competition was between that and watching paint dry. My apologies on behalf of my favorite SRK. 😆

Unconventional seems to be the key to the year so anything can happen. Also, Sharat is not that big a director yet, so hopefully Anushka's track record of working in the worst of the best doesn't make a difference here. 😆

Waise, I don't find Varun's upcoming lineup to be exciting...nor Ranbir's for that matter, so...let's see.

Tamasha was a beautiful film. Not saying this coz I'm an RK fan, it really was. I have no idea why it didn't do well. And RK, like always, nailed the role to perfection 😳

Tamasha is deffo Ranbir's best work till date. Sanju is more work physically and shizz but Tamasha will always be his best. That scene with his boss when he gives presentations with confidence while muttering gibberish, still sends chills down my spine. Both DP and Ranbir were at their absolute best in Tamasha. DP's acting in Agar tum sath ho has moved me to tears so many times.

@bold- This exactly 😆 I have no clue how Imtiaz got to make so many films 😆
KJo should assist music directors in finalizing the best tunes for an album, Imtiaz should probably assist in the cinematography and finalizing locations for the film, SLB should cut trailers and assist the costume department, Remo and Prabhu Deva should choreograph, Kashyap and Vishal B should stick to low budget dark flicks, Hirani should stick to feel good entertainers (and stay away from biopics or anything which requires a dark tone), Salman should stick to being the hero and not meddle in everything and VVC should not do anything apart from providing money. And Virat should focus on his game instead of filming videos on his wife. If only everyone stuck to what they are good at (its one thing to be versatile or take up challenges and another to make a mess of it), the world will be a better place 😆

Exactly...and the scene where he talks to that colleague/guest about being a hypochondriac. Such superlative acting! Tamasha is the film where I truly became a fan of his acting. Not barfi, I actually didn't enjoy that movie that much. Yes, also agree with ur point about DP. She was really awesome in this movie. Actually in the whole of 2012-2015 she was great. I didn't like her in either Bajirao Mastani or Padmaavat. Ramleela she was good. RK has proven his mettle time and again, but it is said that failures teach u more than success ever will. The result is in Sanju where he has literally given his blood and sweat and nailed the role. One could sense how desperate he was for this film to work while watching him...and how much pressure he was under. Glad it paid off!
