I've watched Pakistan films in the past but never really had any sort of attachment to them, ie Waar, Bin Roye (family like to go on Eid, where as I'm all about the Khan films on festivals)

Last year I went to watch Punjab nahi jaungi and I surprisingly enjoyed it, this year I went to watch Teefa in trouble which was very enjoyable and on Eid I went to watch Jawani phir nahi ani 2 which I absolutely lived, it's one of the best comedies I've seen and yes I'm including Bollywood films in that category

The direction, the songs and the sets are all up there now like Bollywood, so my question is this, is Pakistan movie industry in the rise? Do you guys like to watch it?

Parwaz hai Junoon was very good . Cannot compare them with other big industries as yet but on their own they are definitely doing much better than before. The cinematography , script , direction and acting of PHJ was all very good .

I think for not being a huge industry they are doing really well!
The films are growing in terms of budget and popularity

Jawani Phir Nahi Ani (part 1) was not my thing at all. I know it did super well but I found it quite cheap in humor, and just not for me. Thought 2 might be the same type so didn't watch

JPNA 1 wasn't all that, part 2 was amazing. The only parts of the first movie that i liked featured Bhushra Ansari and Sohai Abro as the bimbo.

With all the limited resources that they have i must say they are doing a fine job although there is lots of room for improvement in the screenplay/story department.

Cake was another brilliant movie.
