There is a reason why the Indian space is suddenly filled with web series from every nook and corner. Because the audience is slowly shifting and they want to get hold of their losing audience.

There are more people going to theaters than the people watching web series.

A big hole in the dark is the fact that streaming services dont release any kind of "numbers" so we dont know how many people are actually watching this stuff. Even if they are watching - what is the measurement of success? How do we know what is working and what is not? There was even a blind the other day that said Sacred Games is a flop 😆 there is no evidence that its actually successful.

I say let streaming companies put their money where their mouth is and show us the viewership numbers - that will paint a more realistic picture.
