See, my dears, when they announced a 260 episode show way back,. they should at least have had a rough storyboard or sketch of how they would show those 260 episodes. This is what seems to have been missing. They are thus making up the story as they go along.
Another point. Luckysnow, I have noted from the beginning that Chanakya's fear of Alexander's military prowess and sharp mind was always acute. Remember him telling Porus -- after Chanakya rescues Bamni and unites him with the resurrected Porus -- that once Alexander crossed the Jhelum, first Paurav Rashtra would fall, and then Magadha, and then the whole of Bharat? Dhananand would have been surprised to hear this opinion of his strength!
I never could understand why Chanakya was so afraid. It must be because he rates Puru low in terms of military capability. Yes, he is inexperienced, but so was Alexander at 18, and at 20. and still he won great battles with very limited resources. So why not Puru? But Chanakya does not believe in him.
This is despite the fact that Alexander always had limited forces, now he is at the end of a very long supply line for soldiers. The real Alexander had roughly 40000 fighting men, but this show babbles of laakhon ke lashkar. Magadha was very powerful in both numbers and prowess, and it is the fear of having to cross the Ganga and face Magadha that made Alexander's troops jib at the Beas, and force Alexander to turn back.
The Huns never stopped, and but for Skandagupta, they would have overrun the whole of north India. Nor did the Mongols, and but for Alauddin Khilji, they would have flattened the whole of north India. That is an interesting point to ponder over. I think Alexander's troops had became too mixed and had gone soft.
To revert, the last promo in early June showed Porus setting out in full armour for a major battle. Here they are only trying to cramp. and if possible to cripple Alexander's strength thru sneak attacks, like the one at Takshashila and the one now. Always devious and very far from the Bharatiya valour they are boasting about all the time. See, the way Puru, Bamni and Hasti were seen off by the ladies, it was as if they were going to fight a Kurukshetra war, not to make a night raid on the Persian camp!
This is all that you are going to get for another two months. Not an inviting prospect. For now, I am sorry that Olympias' black magic seems all set to fail, after all that dramatic build up. Then why was she brought to Paurav Rashtra anyway? I always knew that Porus, with a very strong will, would resist it far better than Arridaeus, but what they are going to show will be like the Persian stunt.😡
Once you realise that there is really no contest, and that what they are going to show tonight will happen again and again and again, with the same bhashans all round, there is very little incentive to continue to watch this show.
