I went back and watched this episode again, and then I realized that body doubles were used for Rohit and Shraddha in their scenes together. There was not a moment where the two actors were actually face to face in the same frame, yet the scenes turned out fantastic and you really felt that Alexander and Dasyurani were interacting!
My respect for these two actors has gone up quite a bit after this realization!

It was all so dark that I would not have known even if the Dasyurani had had two heads!😆

But why would they need to use body doubles? That sort of thing is done only when one of the actors is not available, and I refuse to believe that the CID shoots are so demanding that Dr. Tarika cannot spare a day or a few days to shoot for Porus. How did you decide that they used body doubles?

I can spot Rohit's body double straight away because of the color of the hair/wig, the stance, the height, as well as the fake crown that has no gold leaves at the back. 😆 Ever since he got injured they started using a body double who has an orange wig, is a little taller and stockier than Rohit, and who often forgets to wear his rings. 😆 E.g. the PR court scene and even some of the shots where "Alexander" was in the boat approaching Dasyulok with his men.

The body double for Shraddha was shorter and bigger than her and had much much longer hair than she usually does.

The Alexander-Dasyuraj scenes didn't involve body doubles so maybe Shraddha was away on leave or something.

The PR court scene??? I can't believe it . Rohit was injured in the foot. His court scene did not involve any action. Then why the devil would they use a body double? It is ridiculous.

As for an orange wig, the real Alexander's hair looks bad enough these days for it to be a wig as well.

But I must say I am impressed with the sharpness of your vision. I only hope you are not seeing things that aren't there!😉

Maybe because he couldn't stand for long periods so the close ups of Laksh had some body double shots.

One example is the ring exchange. This is not Rohit's hand (when the camera focuses on Laksh)!

This link does not work in India, but I have that segment on the HD of my DVD recorder anyway, and I will check it out.

But I do not like this archaeological expedition looking for body doubles. It would spoil the flow and mood of the scene for me. And in any case, if he could not stand for that ring exchange shot, how come he stood there for the rest of the scene till his departure, where it was clearly Rohit himself?

I prefer my less than acute perception of such matters.😉

Usually body doubles are used for only a few seconds, but in the Dasyurani and Alexander exchange in the was the whole scene, which I found impressive. I didn't notice it the first time round, it was that seamless!

When they are used for longer periods it bothers me, especially with Alexander because the body language can be off sometimes. Rohit has spoilt us! 😆
