Chapter 5
Next morning Mahek woke up to find herself tangled in Shaurya's arms. "I wish we could sleep like this forever in each other's arms.'' Mahek muttered softly. She was breathing hard, raggedly, and her cheeks were red with shyness. "I love you..!'' She confessed with so much feelings and emotions. In his sleep He put his hand over hers that was resting on her chest, interlocked their fingers, then moved their hands to press over his heart. "You're the only one who's ever made my heart throb Mahek. The only one. Ever. He blabbered in his sleep. Her blush deepened. Mahek moved and Shaurya opened his eyes feebly. "Mr khanna,Your gaze across my cheeks turns them into strawberry fields.'' She murmured with a smile and freed herself from his arms. Getting out of bed all flushed she ran towards the washroom to freshen up. "Mahek listen!'' He called after her but she was gone. "Why was she blushing so much? Kahi Hum ne...I mean did I...make love to her? Shit no!'' Shaurya jumped out of bed and headed in the direction of the washroom. He was about to knock on the door when the main door opened and Karuna ma stepped in startling Shaurya. She came towards him. "Shaurya! You here? I mean with your enemy in her den?'' Karuna ma taunted him. Shaurya didn't know what to tell her. He fumbled for words. "Ma,I...I just.. I mean ...'' Karuna ma cut him off. "Wear your shirt and go! I'll ask Mahek what really happened.'' It was then Shaurya realized he was without a shirt. "Shit!'' Embarrassed,He grabbed his shirt from the bed and hurried out of there.
Mahek came out of the washroom to find Karuna ma and Sonal waiting for her. "Karuna ma!'' Hearing her voice Karuna ma opened her arms for her. Enthralled,Mahek Ran into her embrace. "How are you bacchey?'' "I'm ok ma,i'm so glad you came! Now that grumpy son of yours will keep his hands off me'' Said Mahek. Karuna ma laughed. "I saw my grumpy son coming out of your bed this morning. What did you both do huh? Patch up hogaya Kya?'' Karuna ma scanned her face searching for answers. Embarrassed Mahek quickly lowered her gaze. "We..didn't do anything..I mean Nothing happened ma..he just dozed off beside me that's all...and patch up is a long way ma.'' She said softly. "I know nothing happened but by the look on Shaurya's face I can tell he thinks something of that kind happened.'' Said Karuna ma. "Really?'' Mahek was all excited to know. "Ma I have a plan and I need your help. I want to teach your akdru son some lesson and now is the good time.'' Said Mahek. Karuna ma agreed when Mahek told her the plan. They were in for a Hi5!
"Let's go put our plan into action!'' Karuna ma led Mahek to the mansion. "Stay here I'll go have a word with my son.'' Karuna ma left Mahek in the living area and left towards Shaurya's room. Sonal joined Mahek few minutes later. "I'm also in Mahek!'' "Alight! Let's do this together.'' Mahek gave her a hi5. When Karuna ma entered his room,Shaurya was restlessly pacing the room and sweating at the same time. "Bloody hell I wasn't drunk last night then why the hell i can't remember anything?!!'' Karuna ma suppressed her laughter and composed herself quickly. "I didn't expect this from you Shaurya?'' Shaurya's trance broke at once and he whirled to see his mom there. "What didn't you expect from me ma?'' "To spend one night with Mahek and leave! What if she gets pregnant Shaurya? What will you do? How will you face Ria and her family? This alliance could face major consequences if they came to know !'' Shaurya walked to her and held her shoulders. "Trust me ma...I didn't do anything...we just slept and nothing of that sort happened between us..believe me!'' Karuna pushed his hands away. "Mahek has a different story and you are saying something else. Whom shall I believe?'' Karuna walked out on him pretending to be angry. "Mom please listen to me yaar!'' Cried Shaurya But Karuna was already halfway down the stairs. "I have to talk to Mahek...Kahi sach mein Humarey beech? Hell no!'' He hurried downstairs. Mahek was sitting down in the living room humming a love song and removing the bandages from her hand. Karuna ma was in the kitchen helping with the breakfast. "Mahek we need to talk!'' Mahek didn't budge from her place. "Go on I'm listening.'' She said and continued humming. "Not here dammit!...in my room.'' He ordered. "Nope! Whatever you have to say ..say it here!'' Mahek stood her ground. Shaurya gnashed his teeth in anger and let out a deep breath to calm himself down. "Fine! What happened between us last night? As far as I know we were not intimate but I still want to hear from you.'' Questioned Shaurya. "Clean my wounds,apply ointment and do the dressing then I will tell you.'' Mahek laid her condition. Controlling his anger he did as she commanded. Mahek was enjoying every bit of it. "Now The ball's in my court mr khanna!'' Shaurya heard her mumbling. "Did you say something?'' Mahek gave him a playful smile. "Not really! I think your ears are ringing Shaurya! You are hearing voices...meri baath maano go have yourself checked.'' Mahek was adding fuel to the fire. Her giggle disappeared at once when He glared at her. "Breakfast is ready baccho! Come eat!'' Karuna ma called from the dining table saving Mahek from Shaurya's wrath. Mahek stood up when her dressing was done. "Chalo Let's eat! I'm starving!'' She ran towards the table before Shaurya could bombard her with same questions again. Shaurya went and sat beside Mahek. "Please Mahek I beg you just tell me I'll go!'' Pleaded Shaurya. Mahek looked at him with so much love. "I love you more when you insist like that.'' Shaurya exhaled to keep his frustration under control. "I can't use my hand because of you..so feed me Shaurya!'' Ordered Mahek. Shaurya fumed With anger. "Bloody hell why can't I remember anything about last night!'' He cursed himself. "Feed me pyaar se If you want to know..'' Mahek continued with a wink. Shaurya blew his breath once again to calm his anger. Karuna ma was watching them and smiling quietly. He shoved a spoonful of food in her mouth. "You have to pay for this Miss sharma!'' Mahek rubbed his cheek with the back of her palm seductively. "I paid it last night honeybuns..how much more do I have to pay?'' Shaurya turned red at the word honeybuns. Mahek laughed and took the spoon full of food from his hand and pushed it inside his mouth. "Its not that I have a problem paying you..i would love to pay you over and over again with pleasure.'' She whispered softly. Shaurya choked on his food. Karuna ma left them alone.
Ria and Raj walked in to find Shaurya feeding Mahek and both gazing deep into each other's eyes. Ria cleared her throat to draw their attention. "Raj! Ria! I'm so sorry ..please come sit.'' Said Shaurya while composing himself. Mahek grimaced at Ria. While sitting down Ria noticed Shaurya's ring was missing. "Shaurya,what happened to the ring?'' Shaurya looked at his finger and then at Mahek who was smiling playfully. Just then Ria's cell phone rang and she left to answer. Shaurya sighed. Mahek leaned and whispered in his ears. "Last night when we were tangled in each other's arms,I quietly removed the ring from your finger and tossed it outside the window.'' Shaurya looked at her unbelievably. "I did the right thing didn't I?'' Mahek giggled softly. Shaurya wanted to join in her laughter but controlled it. He was happy that the ring was gone,he wasn't liking it anyway. Raj cleared his throat. "Mahek,I wanted to take you out today to show you around London.'' "And I'm taking Shaurya out for shopping.'' Added Ria who had just joined them. Shaurya and Mahek looked at each other. Their eyes communicating,begging and pleading with each other not to go. Mahek broke the silence. "Ria and Raj ji,me and Shaurya Have other plans for today..please you two carry on.'' Ria rolled her eyes. "Now what is the plan actually? Mahek you must be forgetting,I am engaged to Shaurya and we will be getting married soon! I should be having plans with him and not you! Bloody loser! Shaurya I don't understand! You hate her then why keep her here? Please send her to some orphanage if she doesn't have a place to go!'' Ria was spitting venom. Tears pooled in Mahek's eyes and then rolled down her cheeks. "I'm sorry ..I should stay within my limits.'' Apologized Mahek and ran towards her cottage. Shaurya's blood boiled,he rose and walked to Ria. Ria stepped back seeing his blazing eyes. "I haven't said yes to the marriage yet so stop singing about it! And by the way,putting a ring on my finger doesn't get us engaged! This marriage shit is all your dad's plan and not mine. I didn't oppose that doesn't mean I'm ok to go on and marry you. And who told you I hate Mahek?'' Ria just swallowed with panic stricken face. Shaurya continued. "Last and not the least! Stay away from my Mahek! Both of you!I brought her here and I know how to deal with her!'' Karuna who was watching them from afar,smiled. "I knew it! Mera baccha loves Mahek! He can never hate her...'' Blinking back her tears she interrupted them. "This conversation is over! Raj Beta please take Ria from here...'' Raj brought Ria out of the mansion. Suddenly both of them burst out laughing. "We are succeeding in our mission Raj!'' Raj lifted his hand for a Hi5. "Yes we are!'' Ria blinked back her tears. "I so felt bad speaking such bitterness...hope things are sorted quickly and both of them unite ..then we will reveal who we are.'' Raj rubbed her back to calm her down and led her towards his car.
"Mahek!'' Shaurya rushed inside the little cottage. He found her sitting in front of her vanity mirror and combing her hair. Shaurya sighed in relief. "Don't you have manners to knock before you enter?'' Asked Mahek. Shaurya went and stood behind her. "I'm sorry I'll keep in mind to knock before entering next time...are you okay though?'' Mahek forced a smile. "I'm perfectly fine!'' Lied Mahek. Shaurya knew she was lying..the hurt could be seen in her eyes. He felt bad and wanted to bash someone really bad. She handed him the hair brush. "Can you do my hair? Please? You know my hand is still very much sore.'' Shaurya nodded and took the brush from her hand. "I'm not your stylist so don't expect me to do this over and over again okay? I'll do this just once.'' He made it clear. Mahek smiled. "I don't want you to become anything for me Shaurya...I like the way you are...a jhakki businessman!'' Finally Shaurya laughed and started brushing her hair. And once again Mahek was lost in him. She couldn't help but notice... He had the most adorable eyes you could ever fall for and the cutest smile that takes your breath away. He had the ability to make you laugh every time he speaks and whenever you look into his eyes it's so hard to turn... Perhaps it was his innocence, perhaps his jovial smile, his carefree attitude, his young defiance. Whatever the cause, she loved him. Biting her lip to keep back a giggle, Mahek watched as he tied her hair in a bun. Mahek was enjoying his company very much. She tried to figure out something to keep him all by herself for the rest of the day. "All done! Now will you care to tell me about last night?'' Mahek stood up and pulled his cheek with her good fingers. "Not now..come with me.'' She pulled him to the window and gestured to the bush surrounding the back of the cottage. "What are those blue things on the tree?'' "Those are blueberries...anything else?'' He asked. "I want those! Please?'' Shaurya couldn't refuse when Mahek wet her lips with her tongue wanting to taste the berries. Shaking his head unbelievably he brought her to the back of the beautiful cottage.
Mahek waited spreading her dupatta in her hand. Shaurya plucked the berries and dropped them on her dupatta. Mahek's happiness could be seen on her face. She felt so happy & jubilant just like a small child. Then suddenly she saw a shadow moving behind the trees. "Gh..Ghost!'' She screamed. Her dupatta containing the berries fell on the ground. Her teeth were chattering uncontrollably. "What the!'' Shaurya stepped toward her, worry tightening his features, but Mahek was already lurching at him. She flung herself gracelessly against his chest, her cheek bumping and settling just below a solid pectoral muscle. She didn't understand what was happening. "Th..That shadow...'' The fact that she couldn't name that shadow made it even more frightening. Her arms squeezed Shaurya's waist, and the threatening shadow slinked away slightly. "Sshh! It's just some wild beast..nothing to worry about ok?''Shaurya's arms were surrounding her, and he was pulling her tight against his body. The heavy weight on her chest and throat lifted, granting her air. She inhaled choppily. "Mahek,'' he muttered thickly, sounding a little undone. "Don't leave me, she repeated, despising the crack in her voice. She felt his fingers move in her hair and his hand cup the back of her head. His touch urged her to move. She tilted her head back, seeing his face hovering over her. His gaze moved over her face searchingly, landing on her neck. She felt the throb of her exposed pulse. Heat swept through her at his heavy-lidded stare. "I'm not going to leave you. His fierce, quiet declaration sent an electric spark through her. she pressed closer to him, his stare narrowing on her glossy lips. Out of nowhere Her hand flew to the back of his neck, her fingers burrowing into his thick hair. She went on her tiptoes and urged him to her. He lowered his head slightly. Her lips brushed against his. He plucked at her juicy lips, and although she remained mostly still, she felt the leap of tension in his hard body and the slight give in his mouth. His shaft hardened even more where it was pressed against her lower belly, the sensation enflaming her. She pressed tighter, her soft bosom crushing against his lower chest. "I thought you wanted the berries..'' Shaurya Asked in between the pecks. "This is much yummier and tastier then the berries.'' Mahek couldn't believe she had said that. He sealed their mouths, molding her lips to his. His tongue penetrated her, sweeping, seeking, owning. His opened hand slid along her hip and cupped the small of her back, pushing her to him at the same moment he flexed slightly, sliding his erection against her straining body. Situation was getting out of hand. "Shaurya please...stop na..'' She Pleaded But Shaurya continued to devour her soft juicy lips. "Ma!'' As soon as Shaurya heard the word ma,he released her. Hugging her chest,Mahek fled from there. With a sheepish smile Shaurya gathered the berries and her dupatta then headed back to the mansion.
That day Karuna ma took Mahek out for shopping. They had a good time together. "Ma,do you know who my parents are?'' Asked Mahek. "Yes I do but Shaurya forbid everyone not to tell you. He said he will introduce you to them when the right time comes...sorry bacchey.'' Mahek's countenance fell. "Oh don't be sad! You'll meet them soon...they are Shaurya's business partners and very good people.'' Mahek's face lit up. "Really? I'm looking forward to meet them.'' Karuna smiled and caressed her back lovingly. They were getting into the car when Karuna ma noticed one of her shopping bag was missing. "I think I left it in the store,Mahek run and get it please.'' "Ji I'll get it aap baytho (sit inside).'' Karuna got in the car and Mahek ran inside the store. She got the bag and was coming out when she bumped into Maahi. "Di? What are you doing here?'' Asked Mahek. Pregnant Maahi began to sob. From behind her emerged her boyfriend. "Sweetheart let's go we are running late!'' Mahek's blood boiled seeing him with Maahi. Gnashing her teeth she was leaving when Maahi grabbed her hand. "I'm so sorry Mahek..I ruined your life...please forgive me!'' Cried Maahi. Her boyfriend also apologized to Mahek. "I'm no longer her boyfriend,I'm her husband!'' Mahek was stunned for a second. "Shaurya searched for him and got us married...your Shaurya is not a bad guy.'' Added Maahi. Mahek couldn't believe her ears. Tears swam in her eyes. "Our foster parents are also fine. They are still living in the same house given by Shaurya's company and they are still employed by Shaurya.'' Maahi continued. "He did so much for the family who betrayed him and I didn't even know ...'' Mahek was in tears. "Just don't tell him we told you everything...he has given us strict orders to stay away from you.'' Said Maahi. Mahek nodded and hugged them both. "Rest assured,this secret is safe with me..and I'm happy for you guys...'' saying that Mahek bid goodbyes and left towards the car. "I always knew my Shaurya can never be a bad guy...you stole my heart once again Shaurya and I love you more than anything else in the world.'' Drying her tears she got in the car.
When they arrived at the mansion,Shaurya was gone to attend a seminar which was held out of London. "He left without saying anything to me?'' Mahek blabbered when Sonal broke the news to her. "Why would he? I mean Ria is his fiancee ..he must have told her.'' Raj's words fanned the flame and Mahek burned with jealousy. She hurried to her cottage with her shopping bags. Her cell phone which was lying on her bed beeped. She quickly went through her messages. Shaurya had messaged her numerous times before leaving. "Miss sharma,I'm going out of country for a week for some urgent work,will call you once I'm free. Sonal will keep you company. Stay away from Raj! Am I clear? Take care!'' Mahek smiled reading his messages. She thought to pull his leg so she messaged him back. "Mr Khanna,you should let Ria know about your whereabouts..why me? Kya lagti Hun main tumari? (Who am I to you?)'' His reply came few minutes later. "Bloody hell!'' Mahek laughed. "I'm gonna miss you and your bloody hell!'' She said and her countenance fell. After that day,his messages and calls came nonstop asking about what happened the other night in her cottage but Mahek didn't utter a word. "I will not tell you easily Shaurya...you have to roll some more chappatis for me.'' Mahek thought and laughed.
Weeks went by and the day finally arrived for Shaurya's return. That evening Karuna ma had come to the mansion to meet his son. No one knew Shaurya had already arrived and was listening to Mahek and Karuna ma's conversation. "I will tell him today ma that nothing happened between us that night..I was just pulling his leg.'' Mahek told Karuna ma. "Theek hai batha doh (tell him) but he will not leave you this time.'' Karuna ma teased her. Feeling embarrassed already she left to try the saree that Karuna ma had gifted her. "Accha toh Yeh baath hai? (Oh so this is what it is?) Miss sharma,the ball is back in my court sweetheart! Wait and watch what I'll do to you now!'' Smirked Shaurya. That night he sprinkled some alcohol on him and taking the bottle he entered Mahek's cottage pretending to be badly drunk. Mahek who was doing the saree pleats dropped the saree to the floor and looked at him shell shocked! "Shaurya Tum? You are back...'' He had a wild look in his eyes, like a crazed lunatic who had just escaped from the insane asylum. Mahek quickly hugged her blouse covered chest with one hand and hid her bare navel just Above her petticoat . Walking towards her He caressed her face. "I am supposed to compensate you for your lost virginity. He encircled her waist and tugged her close, then dropped a kiss on the tip of her nose. Mahek trembled. "Wha..what do you mean? Please go you are drunk...'' Mahek managed to say. He tossed the bottle away and pulled her petite figure close. "Are you scared? You shouldn't be!'' He pushed her hair strand behind her ears. "This is not our first time babe..we did this before too..have you forgotten?'' He pressed his scorching hot lips on her forehead. "Let me take you to paradise once more.'' He was removing his shirt when she pushed him away. "Please don't! Nothing happened the other night Shaurya...please let me go!'' leaving her saree behind,she ran outside in the dark clad only in blouse and petticoat. "Mahek stop! These jungles around the mansion is not safe at night...please stop!'' Screamed Shaurya and Ran after her.
