Puru will send Olympias home on Monday. Nothing else will fit in with his moral code.

I was sure that at some point, over and above the Alexander killing fallout, there would be a major clash between Puru's fairly rigid code of honour and Chanakya's totally amoral ruthlessness.

Monday might be the second time these fissures become evident.

What I want to see is whether Porus' admirable, and genuine sense of honour makes an impact on Olympias. That would bring in a fascinating new "twist", which might have some bearing on Alexander and Porus growing to respect each other and even become friends.

Right now, however, Olympias is busy parading her arrogance, and sounding like an LP stuck in the same place, repeating that Mera beta Alexander would throw Porus and his vachan into the Jhelum.

So does Anusuya about her Puru.. Both of them are getting to be utter bores.

From this point of view too, it would be
the best if Olympias is shipped back to Takshashila. She would be better occupied initiating Roxanne into the techniques of How to hold on to your Malika position 101. 😆

It would also be a solid reality check for Chanakya. He came in intoning solemnly that Puru was right about Sumer. I expected the Dasyu Raja and Rani to bluntly ask him HOW he knew that.

But they reserved their fire and lowered the boom a little later.

So Chanakya's grand Yojana No.1 fell by the wayside, and he was left speechless. If he had opened his mouth, he would have been roundly snubbed by Mahanandi, who is no respecter of ochre robes, just like Bamni was.

The Dasyu Rani was splendid in the way she dominated the whole situation, with the Dasyuraj running her a close second.👏

Her sudden veering into vintage Chanakya territory, accusing poor Bamni of having got rid of Kanishka in order to save Anusuya, not only shocked the Paurav quartet (including Laachi), and reduced Chanakya to rueful silence, but also seemed to have made Kadika's grey cells suddenly light up. I half sure that she believed what the Dasyu Rani said. If that is so, another front will.open up inside the Paurav royal family.

Now I am waiting to see if Yojana No.2 also crashes on the rock of Puru's sense of honour.

As for Alexander in Dasyu Lok, that should be fun. The Dasyuraj is like a proud Scottish Highland chieftain of old, and he has now come fully into his own.

Since this move of Alexander's would fit in neatly with his plan of cutting off Porus' sources of support one by one, I feel that it has nothing to do with Olympias' sanskaari apaharan.

This lends strength to my guess that the apaharan will fizzle out. Olympias might get back to Takshashila before Alexander sets out to rescue her, or maybe even before he learns about her being kidnapped.

Yeah, I agree with Aunty that guru-shishya are heading for a fallout (and yes a mission impossible to tolerate each other until the actual war, since their philosophies don't match).
