Agreed the story is a rib tickler with a thriller thrown in for good measure. But when the humour gets to be a little forced and the scare element raises more guffaws than gasps, then something is going wrong.

Honestly, how many of us are really laughing at Ranbir's and Shanta Tai's antics now-a-days? We are being loyal to the show and are laughing along because we feel we have to..but don't you think some of the jokes are getting a little too repetitive and wearing a little thin around the edges?

I feel it's time for them to get a little serious once in a while. Everytime they show RK getting enmeshed in each other and raise our hopes that they'd acknowledge their attraction to themselves if not to each other, these mad hatters at BT go and spoil it all by having them throw abuses at one another the next moment and it's all back to square one. It's as if those lovey dovey moments never existed.

It's not only about romance...a few serious scenes to balance out the fun ones would be welcome.

In other words, the show needs some substance to give it some credibility.

That is exactly what I wanted to say. More than half of the things are not even funny.

i kinda agree with you. but then thats wat makes this show diff. its not all serious. it has humor. i like it. and most of the humor is funny. if we dont completley laugh at it. atleast it puts a small smile on our face.

I sort of agree that the repetitive jokes are becoming less hilarious, but they still are funny, nonetheless😆

I would also like to add a point to your comment Pippa, that personally for me, in any story, if the guy and girl fall in love soon, then whats the point of watching the show? I would become bored because then I would know that no matter what, they're going to say sorry and make up

So I'm okay with the fact that RanKan are still not united😛

I don't know about the RanKan love story but I do agree that the humour is often forced. The comedic elements are usually cheesy and predictable and stereotypical characters like Shanta are just pathetic. The creatives do need to work on giving some of the characters more depth and using fresh and intelligent humour once in a while.

I agree Pippa. Many a times I get the impression we are watching a spoof. The comedy is fine but when it gets too loud and garish it is no longer funny. They need to tone down a bit and concentrate a little more on building the story. I get the feeling Ekta wanted to do something different and ended up at the other end of the spectrum - from too much forced rona dhona (a feature of all her other soaps) to too much forced laughter. Too much sugar or too much salt is going to spoil the dish. They need to balance it out.

well i disagree in the comedy matters although its repetitve it gives a smile on our faces and in the end makes us remind of their hilarious act...

as for rankan romance....well it will get serious now for sure when both fall in love but when they are not united yet let them fight with humour....

at least this serial is best than her rhona dhonas where there is no humour alot or even none like KS..KGGK...KAA...KSBKBT....KAYAMATH(worst always crying 24 hrs no humour at all it was once with neev)...KZK(indro-komo chemistry rocks in the past not now)....KA....KYPH....KASTURI
most of her serial have no humour but serious stuff and all the same kraps miscarriages...ONS...multiple marriages...accidents....partial amnesia krap...lost memory totally krap...husband drunk slept with wife next day forget the whole thing...misunderstanding....divorces....always the leading ladies crying like hell and give us headache

kuch is tara is the best and kutumb as well as kya hoga nimmo ka....at least they ahve lots of humour in it rather than kanya...nimmo....gauri crying and ranbir..pratham...kunal does what they want with the 2nd women in their life and the wives sacrificing for them

kuch is tara is way better than kya hoga nimmo ka(best at the start in the end same krap)at least the humour makes us laugh out loud...

repetitive laughter is more fun than rhona-dhona disgusting serious kraps
