It was not quite clear, but methinks that was what he used to collect the mud. It did look like a bag more than like a shawl, but a shawl can be folded to form a bag. That would have been the most appropriate way for Chanakya to use the returned gift.

I couldn't help wondering about Alexander's return gift to Chanakya .

How will the shawl be used by Chanakya 🤔 ... if at all.😳

So basically the only criteria required to be deemed as the most intelligent person is how much your worldwide popularity is?For me it's the manner in which they both executed their actions, their skills and their teachings.

Of course Aristotle would be known more than Chanakya coz of the hype which was generated around him in the Western countries.
But if anyone has a clear look at the teachings of both the scholars one would know that Chanakya surpasses him.Chanakya was not just confined to literature and philosophy. He was a genius when it came to economics, politics and a variety of other subjects

No one is denying Alexander's greatness. He achieved something something which was impossible at that time
He is the greatest conqueror no doubt. But emperor? You never know how he might have turned out to be had he ruled as an Emperor.

Just coz someone isn't known all over the world doesn't mean they are lesser beings as a matter of fact. That's like saying the celeb who has the maximum no of followers on insta is the best actor

Anyway to each his own.I respect your opinion too.

He is greatest emperor...he took corruption hit Persia to new heights in just five years...and Egypt too...that's why he is called emperor or lord of Asia...he opened all trade routes..
