Kagaz Ke Phool - This 1950's film was based on extra marital affair...a bold concept for those times...it was a flop at BO...

Guide - This film was way ahead of it's time...it showed a married woman's discovery of love, passion etc that too on 1960's...This was a BO hit...

Fire - This film was based on homosexuality...It caused a lot of furore when it was released in 1990's as it's lead chars were lesbians...

Dil Chahta Hai - This film was much ahead of it's time...there was no over the top,melodramatic portrayal of friendship...it introduced a diff style of filmmaking...

Swades - As I sat watching it last night. It's way ahead of it's time. It's honestly one of the most underrated gems in Hindi Cinema. It focused on ground realities in Indian villages.

Also SRK's acting is timeless in this movie. Pity, he doesn't do anymore movies like this but focuses more on acting as 25 years old lover boy.
