Priyanka Chopra is gearing up for her
Bollywood comeback, with Salman Khan's
Bharat. The film also has a starry ensemble
that includes Tabu, Disha Patani. Yet that's
not it, if rumours are to be believed, Katrina
Kaif will star in the film.
According to a report in Deccan Chronicle,
Priyanka and Katrina will share screenspace.
A source said, "It's not known how or
where she (Katrina) will be found in the plot.
But she is definitely a part of Bharat in a very
significant way."
When asked about Katrina's role, the source
says, "See, Ali Abbas Zafar (director) is a very
close friend of Katrina's. She was the leading
lady in his first film Mere Brother Ki Dulhan
and they have remained close friends since
then. Priyanka was the female lead in Ali's
Gunday. He is close to both the stunners and
will ensure they are given ample space in
Bharat, although it would be an out-and-out
Salman Khan film."
Like Salman, who will sport five looks in the
film, Priyanka is expected to follow the same
path as well. In an interview to DNA, Ali
Abbas Zafar revealed, "PC will also sport five
different looks. She will age from 28 to 60
years, while he will age from 25 to 65 years
in the film. We will use a mix of prosthetics,
make-up, and VFX."
Bharat covers several landmark events,
including Partition. It is said to be spanning
70 years of history. For each of Priyanka's
looks, Zafar is looking at yesteryear
actresses as inspiration. Her appearances
will be modeled on actresses like Zeenat
Aman, Parveen Babi, Sharmila Tagore and
Shabana Azmi.
Bharat is expected to hit the screens on Eid,
2019.
