LOL this is like the most random ranking ever. They just randomly rank stars depending on who is being talked about at that point. Its as fickle as social media 😆 I like how all these trade sites and rankings underestimate Aamir and imply that he is not popular and he ends up delivering the highest grosser. Thats like a huge fcuk you to the sites 😆

Yup agreed. Except I do think Aamir is popular or well-known if thats the right term. Yes he is not on par with Salman and SRK. Even Ranbir and Ranveer get talked about more than Aamir (partly because of PR 😆) but a lot of people look forward to watching Aamir's films. Non-fans, movie buffs, people who have no interest in cinema etc. simply because they expect a good film from him. Aamir is smart because he realized these rankings don't mean a thing and worked on his credibility much before the rest of them. Am still not sure if Salman and SRK have understood 😆

When I say he's not popular, I mean in comparison to the other superstars BW has seen a la Rajesh Khanna, AB Sr, Salman/SRK, etc. That level of craze is simply not there. It's also partly because of personality ... Aamir isn't really that interesting as a person or he manages to downplay it so a connect is missing. Kudos to him though, he realized this early enough and focused on becoming credible. Films becomes huge successes when everyone comes to see it not just fans. Fans can only take movies so far.

I'm sure Salman & SRK have realized. They're not stupid after all. 😆 They're just disconnected with what the audience wants, SRK more than Salman. And to be honest, I don't think SRK & Salman care about the rankings/having the biggest hit ever as much as Aamir cares about numbers --at least not anymore post the numbers craze. They are happy with their films doing well and people enjoying their films. In the process, if it becomes the biggest, great. If it doesn't, whatever. Even with CE, if you go back to SRK's interviews, he was happy for two reasons - one people were happy, two because he shut people up and could focus on what he wanted. "Monkey was off his back" as he called it. Aamir is just better at hiding it.

It's funny how many of them take these stuff seriously...In 2014 Aamir was at no 2 spot...these sites r no measure of any popularity...and how can one measure it?guess this is based on ads,movies,news abt them or their public appearances...but still how can one give rankings on these basis? 😆 and how do one come to such conclusion that he doesn't have a fan following? 😆
