Pakistanis not happy with ban on Veere Di Wedding see tweets
Pakistanis on Twitter have condemned the ban on Veere Di Wedding in their country. The film, starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhasker and Shikha Talsania in the lead roles, is slated to release in India on June 1.
Veere Di Wedding, that stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhasker and Shikha Talsania in the lead roles, has been banned in Pakistan. The Central Board of Film Censors (CBFC) concluded that the female buddy comedy film had "vulgar dialogues and obscene scenes and therefore, was not fit for exhibition in the country. But the Pakistani citizens, it appears, are not happy with the board's decision. A large number of Pakistanis on Twitter, the women in particular, have condemned the ban.
While a user wrote that the Pakistani Censor Board needed to grow up, another user questioned why Pakistan couldn't tolerate women "living it up however they want.
Most of the reactions on the micro-blogging website were in support of Veere Di Wedding. In fact, one user, who goes by the name Amna Ahad, said that she would watch the film "no matter what. (Sanju Trailer Launch: Sonam asked about working with Ranbir after 10 years. And, Saawariya memories followed)
