Chapter 41 - A splash of love

Geet sat on the floor of her balcony cleaning Bella's cage, with her falling ill and the wedding, she had found no time for mundane tasks and unfortunately Bella suffered her fortnightly house clean.

'Bella I'm so happy' she sang pushing the brush in an up and down motion as Bella walked on the warmed ground. For a February day, the weather seemed rather warm as if blessing her and the family with warm wishes.

'Happy happy happy' Bella chirped flapping her wings and then purred her little head against Geet's thigh

'Bella stop' she giggled between the tickles that shot up to her laughing mouth, shooing the bird but Bella came closer with a cheeky grin

'BELLA NO'

'Happy' Bella strummed repelling any anger Geet felt a few seconds ago as bursts of giggles evaporated from her being.

'I love you' she petted letting go of the brush and ushering her furry friend to her chest and that's how he found his wife. Clad in a simple floral kameez that reached her knee, sat on the floor and hugging her birdie. She fought with every cell in her body, when he called Bella birdie; a commodity of his musing and something she hated but it fruited him with countless possibilities and myriad of reaction.

'So what is my birdie doing with her birdie?' he asked cocking up a brow and she persisted almost immediately, well almost

'Bella go get mummy water' she ordered ignoring the unwanted intrusion, as Maan watched her pick up the brush and clean the bars of the cage, the birdie picked up whatever water she could in her beak and threw it on the cage, as if helping Geet making both of them chuckle. Geet's bird was as cute as her.

'Geet can I help?' he asked sitting beside her on the floor, but she ignored yet again however he saw how she observed him from the corner of her eyes, aww she looked so cute and this is exactly what he missed in the last few days when he was away in New Zealand. Him and her, and their time!

'Sorry' he whispered against her ear, leaning forward and dropping a light kiss to her cheek in the process as she sucked in her stomach in shock and coyness

'Just dropped Vicky and Meera at the airport' he stated when she didn't say anything and continued with cleaning the birds nest. She was red but other than that she looked every bit like his Geet, angling her eyes his way as if to say I know', but for her he wouldn't mind repeating anything or everything for that matter.

'Geet beti' Dadi walked in after a few minutes and stopped short seeing her grandson resting beside his wife, a smirk playing both on his lips and eyes while the wife looked shy and angry.

'I'll come back later' she said turning around when Geet's voice halted her and then she was forced to sit on the stool in the corner near Geet and Maan, while he helped his wife forwarding the jug of water and Geet splashed it over the cage. Bella flew over and rested by Dadi's feet, she remembered all the effort she took to befriend Geet and her sly Bella. Both were scared and timid, but with frequent visits both warmed up to her and her ways. Though they weren't super close yet they were friendly and open now. It was the scream of Geet that caught her attention.

'Dadi dekhno na' She cried turning to Dadi as water puddled in her lap, with an 'huhhh' Maan feigned ignorance and refuted all claims making Dadi giggle seeing a side of Maan she has never seen and livid wet Geet.

'Admit it that you wet me, warna'

'Warna kya' he challenged clutching tightly onto the jug which Geet tried with her might to it pull out of his strong hold, when nothing worked an very angry Geet stood up and tipped the half-filled bucket over his head and burst out laughing as he 'aahhh' and 'ewwed' feeling the cold content against his skin. Even before he could stand up she legged it to the bathroom, and he; well he stood between a half washed cage, a laughing Dadi and flying Bella who repeated happy, happy, happy' landing on his shoulder.

'Yes happy' he answered looking between his Dadi and the her bathroom, and deep in his heart he knew everything was going to be good especially now with Vicky and Meera on their honeymoon, Seema in India and Geet, well Geet being known as his wife in their society.

Note: Sorry guys but I haven't shown Bella in ages, plus this allows me to write of the cute Geet you (well most of you) and I love so much. I know it's a bit unclear, and you guys don't know what happened and how lol but will show in the next update. I know this story has been slow and this is my way of saying thank you plus I needed a fun filled chapter lol. So in the end it's all about me lol.

Now for a more serious note lol: Ok writing several stories at the same time, is becoming rather hard on me. Salute to the peeps that do it with ease. Can I ask whether my characters have maintained a difference or have they integrated into one another? Do they sound similar?
