Contrary to popular expectations, SLB's next will not feature Ranveer and Deepika as leads

Unbelievable, but true. The super successful trio won the heart of millions with films like Ram Leela, Bajirao Mastani and Padmaavat. After Padmaavat released despite multiple controversies, reports suggested that Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone have signed a three-film deal with Sanjay Leela Bhansali. This was more than enough to get the fans of the trio elated beyond measure. But here's a piece of information that will not be very pleasing for the fans. SLB, who cast the real life jodi in three of his back-to-back directorials, is not considering them for his next. "Bhansali is taking a break from this pair and his next directorial will not feature Ranveer and Deepika, a source exclusively revealed to us.

Ouch! It was only recently that SLB had said in an interview with DNA how he was not yet done with Deepika. "Deepika is so fabulous; she is such a jaan. I just love her. All her hard work and brilliance that she brings to the set is effortless... It's such a pleasure to work with someone who does what she is doing at that moment with absolute honesty... Her performances are so detailed and nuanced. I'm not done with her yet, Bhansali heaped praises. About Ranveer, he had to say, "No other filmmaker understands Ranveer the way I do. Ranveer and I have a great chemistry and understanding. I know how to direct him and I'm aware about his limitations and strengths. I know what to do with him. He's a very special actor. He has so much energy. I only feel he puts too much effort into I did my research and I went here and did that', all that I understand. For him to pursue his greatness, he has to be a little more effortless. He is fantastic. I am not done with him either. How we wished to see these two create their magic once again in another epic film of Sanjay Leela Bhansali. But looks like the wait just got longer.
