This fake followers and bots are a menace. SM experience has become very poor due to them. Wish Twitter named and shamed all these big shots who indulged in such practices.

Everybody does including non celebs. I've noticed on one of my twitter accounts that I'd get followed by random spam accounts and I didn't pay for them. These things are computer generated.

There were these year-end lists of most influential people last year and there was drama over the fake followers of Katy Perry and others when they made the list.
