Raazi is the second highest grossing film ever which has been driven by a female star. The top film is Tanu Weds Manu Returns but it is a toss up whether it should be on the list as it had franchise value which adds a lot for a female driven film. This is because they tend to open low but with brand value they can get a huge push. The brand value also give hero driven films a push but its not as push as a big male lead will command an initial anyway.
There are around 17-18 films driven by the female faces which have crossed the 30 crore nett mark. Films like these that actually work are very and now with Raazi the talk will be about how it is a game changer for these films, the same thing was said at the time of Tanu Weds Manu Returns but the issue still remains the same which is initial. The initial is what gives studios / producers confidence and till date none of these films have come close to 10 crore nett and it is only initials which can be the game changers for female driven films.
