Everything is fair in love and war. In sehmat's case the deed is fair enough because she loved her country and was helping it during the time of war!. There was an attempt to white wash our notorious neighbors through her in laws subtly.

Nice topic .

For me, More than patriotism, that 20 year old girl was obeying her parents. A normal 20 year olds life does revolve around his/her parents .. thats the age where u havent really explored urself and still are there in their shadow .. sehmat was that .. she didn't feel patriotism, she was made to learn patriotism .

For me Sehmat was cold and ruthless, she felt broken after commiting those crimes but not for a moment did she flinch before commiting them .. she did was she had to do .. there was never a faltering moment .. never a hesitation .. yes after she had done that she realized what thier intensity was .. Her escape by making that kid a hostage was something a very sharp calculative person can plan .. despite all her weak moments .. she ALWAYS acted on, "watn k agey kuch nahi " .. not even herself ..

Sehmat was a hardworker and until she was in it .. she gave her best .. and when she couldnt, she stepped back ..

your this statement is what is wrong with.people treating patriotism as something that is not needed.
Sehmat wasn't taught patriotism. She obeyed her fathee agreed , but she was a patriot herself too

BMing for reading this interesting topic.
Don't have much time to add sth valuable to the topic rn but have to say the best thing about the movie was how it showed everyone in such positive light. It barely happens in movies that we see people against the protagonist as normal people.

She was a spy and she did exactly what she needed to do. The killings were not unfortunate as she was prepared to do that.

She being a woman makes the whole affair emotional, if it was a man in her place then people would say Wah he killed Abdul in nick of time'. She killed them or else she would have been exposed. So that was needed.

We must remember she was at enemy's house as a mole. And she kept the child coz the child was hers also.

It has nothing to do with Sehmat being a man or a woman.

Even if it was a man, I would have said that was not exactly a moral thing to do.
