Was Sehmat an anti-heroine or is she a tragic heroine?

Her action were not heroic. It included killing of innocent person like Abdul, indirectly destroying live of Munira , deceiving her entire family including her husband who was a very good person and even taking a kid as a hostage. While she just did her job, but her job was not heroic, she herself was not proud of her deeds.
And that is a sign of an anti-hero. But difference is anti-hero is someone who does not give a damn about their deeds, while Sehmat is breaks piece by piece emotionally because of her deeds.

And that is a sign of a tragic hero.

While she Did it for our nation, and she says nothing is more important than country's safety not even our existence. So she has this hero quality which checks her from falling into a total villain or negative character.

But her actions cannot be called noble, which brings into the question, is she an anti-heroine or a tragic heroine?

Good question.
I think a bit of both.

I had a difficult time watching the movie because she kills people that are basically good. The reason she uses, patriotism can also be applied to them as they are patriotic too.

What I can say is these are all good people trapped in a tragic situation and most of their actions were dictated by circumstances. Still I cannot justify them or their actions, but I can certainly feel sorry and understand a bit.

The overwhelming lesson is war is brutal and both sides pay a price. It also makes good people face difficult circumstances which make them do horrible things.

yes reminds me of the dialogue, ganda hai par dhandha hai.

Plus had Sehmat not taken those risks and done the necessary evil of killing Adbul and Mehboob , who knows what would have happen in 1971, had they destroyed or taken over INS Vikrant, it would have been a disaster.

She loves him, she does not even abort the child.

And he is super nice to her, actually his whole family loves her.

He even does not touch her until she herself initiates the intimate interaction.

He's a really, sweet and decent guy. He seems open minded, he apologizes to her when people talk about India badly in front of her, he does not initiate intimacy unless she requires it. He gives her his mother's payal. She has a fil who is an army general I think and he too is super nice to her. His brother who is also in the army has a wife who is so nice to her too. In fact the whole family, wives of high officials in the army are all nice to her. But they are patriotic too and prepare for the war on the side of Pakistan and want to defeat India while Sehmat is patriotic to India. They show both sides as good people and victim of circumstances.

Film is based on Intel which Sehmat gave to Indian Intelligence, based on which they got to know about THE GHAZI ATTACK, but I have watched THE GHAZI ATTACK, it was Naval Submarine S21 which destroyed PNS Ghazi & thwarts its mission of destroying INS Vikrant. How was SEHMAT's Intel helped anything in any operation?
