@Atthai- TA agree on your views on love, marriage and sex.
I mentioned in my other post, Kabir would've been damned if he did, damned if he didn't.
I don't think Zara would've taken the lead, if for a sec, she knew he didn't feel that was about her and he was just doing his duty.
Theye both got into an arranged marriage fully knowing what they were getting into.Eventually they would've drifted into a physical relation, if only to bring some grand children.
I think, Kabir was not prepared for marriage, he had no definite idea about the kind of person he wanted to marry. He just knew it wasn't Zara.😆 He gave his father the right to choose his bride and trusted him.Unlike him, Zara had a dream man she wanted to marry. She didn't see him n Kabir and in Kashmir, Kabir suddenly became that man. Kabir as a person didn't change at all.
I want to applaud the CVs and Adnan for the nuances they've brought in. While Zara was being naughty and eating cake off his face, he was thinking of his sister's birthday.
Kabir always keeps his arms crossed, even y'day when they were watching the moon.
Honey moon is totally over for him.😆
HAs Kabir been always this detached? I was surprised to see his reaction to Ruksar's suicide attempt.
After carrying her to hospital, he told her bluntly to pray for forgiveness and atone her sins. Because trying to kill oneself is a sin. That's all he cared for.He had no qualms about the fall out of someone whom he grew up with nearly dying.
Zara expected too much from him too soon and was deeply disappointed.May be someday he'll love her like he loves his Mom, that has truck load of farz and lots of love.

I just finished reading Elif Shafik's 40 Rules of love and it was interesting to watch Zabir& forum reaction & read the Sufi saint Shams explaining the verses of Quaran about equality etc to Rumi's daughter. There are many interpretation depending upon a person's view/growth, imo, Kabir has lot of growing to do.

IMo, romantic love is over rated and commercialized.😆
P.S-I;m half asleep & hope i made some sense.

really good post Sim!

@All, loved reading all the comments.

Your absolutely right that Zara has fallen in love with Kabeer and has never seen this side of him. Once you start living with someone do you really get to know them. Its the reality. They have had an arrange marriage.

The issue again is that Kabeer was never this disrespectful. He was always a closed minded guy and that was true from the beginning. What wasn't true is that he was disrespectful to women. Zara is his wife and his farz, I totally get that. He is not in love with her and will not be in love with her for the foreseeable future. Things are going to get ugly between them. But for god sakes, stop acting like a mad man.

As a viewer, I need Zara to grow up from her dreams and start rationalising why Kabeer is acting that way. She has always been outspoken and smart. Lately, she has become too much of a doormat. I am not happy with her at all.. 😆

Sim - also I totally agree with you that too many romantic lovers are overrated but darn Kabeer and Zara need to wake up and smell the coffee... 😆

Hi G🤗 good to see you're still hanging around the forum😆
And thank you for the response.
I think Zara over estimated what she and their relation would mean for him. She has challenged Ruksar saying, he would change his views, break his rules for her and Kabir told Aisha, he would do nothing of that sort, not for any one, not for Zara.
She is definitely facing the reality of her situation, sad as it was i liked her scene with Aisha when she gave the duppata.
Pity, she kissed a nawab and he turned out a frog in the morning😆
Zara has become bahufied G. Doesn't it bring back old memories?😆
She is going around saying i'll protect my husband, the old Zara would've told Kabir what was bothering her and forced him to listen.
How i loved her calm, "I'm not done talking" to his thundering "khamosh" before marriage, when she threw newspaper on him and walked away.
You know, the moment the FL starts keeping secrets from the hero, it's the beginning of doormatydom for them😆
The religious and spiritual angle to their chars keep me hooked, i want to see how they'll continue to incorporate that in their story.

You echoed my thoughts!..Kabeer doesn't tap into his emotions at all,he is all about right, wrong and responsibility. He was always attached and very blunt in his interactions with everyone. Kabeer has a long way to go..

Can I get the old zara back because atleast I will be angry with just one character kabeer and not both him and Zara... 😆 😆
