Deadpool 2 couldn't beat Black Panther's this record

Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool 2 will hit the screens on Friday this week and his fans are already rooting for him. The superhero with a sarcastic touch to him won everyone's hearts in 2016 with his weird antics and the sequel was much deserved. While the movie's trailer is already so loved and appreciated for his humour quotient, its early reviews too, are singing the praises in unison. While we write this article, 56 reviews had been counted on Rotten Tomatoes, and only ten of them were negative, leaving Deadpool 2 with a stellar Tomatometer score of 85 per cent. The score will likely continue to fluctuate throughout the week as more reviews are counted, but it's probably going to stick around this level, between 85-95. However after a gush fest that we read from the critics, compelled us to believe if it will beat Black Panther's early score on Rotten Tomatoes. Sadly, it didn't. Of course we are talking about the time when only few reviews were counted by the agency and not all of them were positive. Black Panther was the only Marvel movie that received a perfect Rotten Tomatoes score after its early reviews. It secured 100 per cent rating initially. Out of the 64 reviews received earlier, none of them were negative which resulted in its golden run until one bad review ruined its score completely. With the sequel of Deadpool earning 85 per cent score already and after the review embargo being lifted, the score is only expected to rise high since the reviewers are only gushing about the superhero and his X-force. Deadpool became a national phenomenon after the first film broke several records upon its release. In 2016 when Deadpool released, it shattered the record for the highest ever box office opening for a movie in February, hauling in more than $132 million in its opening weekend. That record was held for two years, and we all know who broke it? Yes, Marvel's Black Panther with $202 million take.
