I am not protecting anyone here, but if you say so, the person in question isn't trying to be an actor. I don't know what he or she does, but if she is good in the profession she chose it's fair enough.
By profession I am an economist, I wanted to be a writer once but I know I am not good enough yet, still if I write a book which is totally boring, critics and readers will have the write to point that out and give me a reality check.
Similarly to judge someone's acting we all don't need to be award winning actors. To judge a singer we don't need to be classical singers. That's my point. This girl playing Teni can't act at all, that's my observation seeing her on tv. As audience I am entitled to that opinion.
@bold, absolutely true, although we can't be true to the exact definition of judgement (for these thing, there are judges). But I think that people are sensible here to differentiate a very good acting from a mediocre one at least. Its not something that needs extensive technical knowledge to judge! art works are something that are to be connected to the soul and if the acting can't create that impression, is it wrong to term it average! and where there are more talented ones to do that job, and you are unable or unwilling to develop your skills , then you can't continue in the same way!
everyone skilled in his own subject of preference brings the levels for him/her and the margin of levels is never the same for all. Its the matter of success being attained in lives, not being blind and desperate to run after some so called levels only. me from engineering background that does not mean that i know nothing of the art of acting and scripting at all. and as you meant, people from other interests are always free to criticize my works too. the world is defined in these ways, as you can't stop the words from the masses. after all, truth has no second version!
