completely agree with you i have always felt they go for very very minimal physical contact for avneil except few scenes initially post marriage we got some good scenes otherwise i have always felt there's more cvs could do with this couple no one understood the chemistry adiza shared if it was out and out romantic show adiza could have done wonders they are such magical pair but got stuck up into this over dramatic negative show 🥱

This is such an interesting topic you brought up. I've been tnhibking about this since then and seeing the Adiza goodbye video today gave me my answer.

I think one of the reasons we haven't seen this intimacy is there script. There are some amazing scenes of hugging but then tend to be in anger, sorrow or remorse. My favourites are:

1. the jail one where Zain is relieved when he find Avni in his room and she is wearing the red saree.
2. the hotel room scene where she hugs him from behind
3. the dream scenes when he thinks she is his imagination

In my opinion there is another reason why we fans are not getting the intimacy we crave(?). And that is that I don't think even after 15 months Aditi is comfortable with Zain. I think he would be more touchy freely with her if she allowed it but she is clearly a girl who knows to keep people at a distance she wants to. And she keeps him at a distance. Sometimes you see a flicker of intimacy and then it disappears. It's not that Aditi is ultra conservative or shy because she is touchy felt with others. Maybe not as much as most people of our generation but definitely more than she is with Zain.

Look at today's video. After 15 months of knowing each other, look at the way they sit. If you look at where their bums are on the seat - it's so far from each other. This is usually how they sit even when they are doing a normal scene in NL. Or look at the photo of them in Gulfams house during Holiday. Aditi looks so uncomfortable/shy/conscious to be so close to Zain.

I know I am overanalysing this. Mostly because I don't want to do my uni project. But would love to hear your views.

To some extent i do agree with the second reason that you have mentioned. It is firstly the writers and the director who develops a scene, so the visualisation remains in their hands. But the actors can improvise and do whats best as well. I think adiza are complete directors actors as far as Naamkarann is concerned. So i would say that had the crew asked them to execute the scenes with minute details, they would go ahead. Having said that, i feel Adiza have come a long way, with respect to both onscreen compatibility and offscreen compatibility. As the story in the show progressed and their characters started getting closer we saw a lot of romantic scenes. Initially zain would come across as awkward and it looked like he was not very comfortable in getting very close or intimate to aditi, though it was the character's demand. On the other hand, aditi's kissing scenes and hugs seemed so much better than zain's. Cut to Suhaag raat romance, zain bowled me over cuz not once i was disappointed with how it all turned out. So we can say that zain got comfortable only after a point. The reason behind this is best known to him. Some times i would guess that if it was his offscreen equation with Aditi that was holding him back. Zain and Aditi have always been so distant with each other for the longest time. And we coud see that in their interviews. It only changed when Aditi broke up with her Bf. Slowly, they found their peace. And now seem to share a good bond. Aditi does seem intimidated by zain. Thats very cute. I feel it was Aditi who had distanced herself from zain and somewhere zain felt that its better that way and maintained that. It was also pretty apparent how she got along well with every male co actor be it, gautam, jahaan, karam and sushant, but just not with zain. On top of that, that fiasco between Sreedhan and zain did make things bad. But now i genuinely feel Adiza have come over all that and have genuine respect for each other. They do share some sexy undercurrents, both are very conscious around each other especially aditi. And it also looks like zain affects her a lot. All this makes it all very very hard to not ship. Oh how i wish i want this ship to sail. Btw, i just came across that, sreedhan is single again. Damn. One more thing that could be holding them back is that, purely my guess, they both are from different religuore backgrounds, zain seems like a religious follower of his mazhab like he says. To conclude i would say thats it all a HOT MESS! 😳
