In an era when our stars are (finally!) casually grinning as they admit 'they're together' to the increasingly aggressive media, here's raising a toast! We take a look at all the pairs (admitted and rumoured) slated to appear in movies together this year -- for we can't quite blame filmmakers for taking advantage, can we?
Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan
The golden couple did well last year with Guru -- and their wedding, which more people caught on TV -- and will appear in one of 2008's most anticipated releases, Sarkar Raj. Ram Gopal Varma's Sarkar sequel rides on the fact that the Bachchan couple will be appearing alongside bade papa Amitabh himself, not to mention a superhit original. And RGV could likely come up with something very impressive; he's due for sure.

Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor
With a cool usually seen on the other side of the Atlantic, the tattooed prince and the industry's highest paid leading lady -- thanks, grapevine -- are a match made in dynastic heaven.
The two will join forces in Yash Raj Films' Tashan this year, wherein the lady is rumoured to be in a bikini. Langda Tyagi got a hold of Dolly after all, and we don't see him complaining.

Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif
Arguably the most attractive pair of Bollywooders -- at least when each is being photographed well -- the tall girl and short stud make for an interesting pair on screen.
Sal-Kat (or is it Kat-Man?) will feature in Subhash Ghai's much vaunted return to blockbusteria with Main Yuvraaj, an epic romance for which AR Rahman reportedly began work in 2005.

Director Harry Baweja's filmography might not have too much going for it -- with Qayamat: City Under Threat, Karz: The Burden of Truth and Mujhe Meri Biwi Se Bachaao featuring prominently -- but his son Harman's done well by netting himself one of the industry's most desirable women.
The two will be seen in Harry's time-travel film, Love Story 2050.

Ajay Devgan and Kajol
Not content twiddling his thumbs till a filmmaker cast them together, Devgan takes the directorial plunge this year with U Me Aur Hum, a film that -- from its promos -- seems almost like a love-letter for Kajol. Aww.
Don't expect the now-ubiquitous Shah Rukh Khan cameo, but if the music is anything to go by, Devgan might surprise us very pleasantly indeed.

Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor
Hang on, the gossip phone's ringing again. They're only one film old apiece, but these two seem to have made quite the impact on people's little black books.
Deepika's been linked to cricketers -- must we even name them? -- as well as a certain singer with a fondness for caps; while Ranbir's been linked to surname-sharing lovely co-star Sonam.
Apparently, they've bonded. *Ahem* The two will feature -- as will, reportedly Bipasha Basu and Katrina Kaif -- in a YRF remake of The Bachelor.
Shahid Kapoor and Vidya Balan
The first minutes of Jab We Met had Shahid looking so woeful it seemed they'd been reshot after Kareena and he split up.
He still smiles manfully whenever cameras cut pointedly to him while Kareena dances on award-show stages, but now apparently he's found himself a pretty -- if hideously dressed -- shoulder to cry on.
Vidya and Shahid star together in Kismet Konnection, written by Sanjay Chhel and directed by Aziz Mirza. Could be fun, this.

Arbaaz and Malaika Arora Khan
There's something endearing about a couple who just plain keeps it together, not bothering about the media circus.
Arbaaz genuinely seems like the quiet type, and while Malaika's made many a man smoulder, there's never been any whiff of scandal.
Mr and Mrs Khan are slated to star in a film called Shaadi Ke After Effects, and while it is unimaginatively titled, it'll be nice to see Malaika in more than those ever-striking item numbers.
