Q - during Ramadan when fast is broken in the evening can one eat cakes or there is only certain food items you can eat which is allowed during fasting even when you break fast in the evening

Can someone please clarify - thanks

I'm bit confused regarding your question but during fasting we neither eat anything nor drink anything but after breaking fast in the evening yes we are supposed to break the fast by eating dates or water then we can eat anything and everything

After or at the time of breaking fast any type of Halal food can be eaten. Now if you want to know in detail about Halal foods allowed for Muslim Ummah then read this link
