Raman reached ishita's room and saw she was sitting while nurse was giving her injection. Ishita was closing her eyes tight due to pain. Raman walked to her and said -gudiya.
Ishita look at him and hide her face in his tummy feeling pain. He wrapped her in his arms while she side more into him saying -its paining, Raman.
He caressed her hair and said -soon it will be good gudiya, just relax. He was saying while nurse went giving her injection.
Raman made her lay down and said -see its over, ho gaya naa.
Ishita -bahut dard kar raha hai raman, pura haath, pura pair my whole body is aching. Mujhe hi kyun hua yeh, yeh kitna painful hai. She said and cried while Raman just hugged her tight and said pecking her hair -everything will be fine, gudiya. Kuch nahi hoga, ab dheere dheere sab thik ho jayega. U just sleep.
Ishita -neend nahi aa rahi, bhookh lagi hai.
Raman broke the hug and said -main khana mangaun??
Ishita -nahi, hospital ka khana nahi ,I will not eat that, kuch achcha khane ka mann hai.
Raman -kya Khaogi bolo??
Ishita -amma ke haath ki idli. She said innocently making Raman smile.
Raman -my chotu madrasan, hamesha idli.
Ishita -kya, its my favourite naa.
Raman -ok, abhi amma ko bulata hoon ,she will make yummy idli for u asap.
Ishita -haan,that I was going to ask, where r all??aap akele hai??
Raman -nahi, everybody is here only.
Ishita -toh Kahan hai, she was asking when they heard, we r here kanna.
Ishita look at the door and saw their parents standing there.
Ishita opened her arms like a small baby and amma come to her and hugged her tight.
Ishita kept her head on her shoulder and said -I am missing ur food, amma. Please mujhe idli khilao naa.
Amma caressed her face and said -sure kanna, if u want I will make it for u. Main abhi jaa kar bana kar laati hoon. She said and was going out when Toshiji said -kuch aur khaane ka mann hai puttar.
Ishita thought for a while and said -choley bhaturey.
Appa -no kanna, that will be very spicy for u.
Ishita -ok then, something sweet.
Toshiji -main tere liye badaam ka halwa laati hoon, usse tujhe taaqat bhi milegi.
Mr bhalla -toshiji , it will be very rich and oily. Ishita ko nuksaan karega.
Toshiji -arey main kam oil daalungi, main abhi jaati hoon, jaa kar bana kar laati hoon.
Amma -u come with me, santoshi. Mere hi ghar mein bana lenge.
Toshiji was reluctant when amma said -i want to talk to u also.
Toshiji nodded and went with amma. Mr bhalla too went for some urgent business work leaving only appa and Raman with ishita.
Appa made her lay down and was softly caressing her hair while she was just looking at him.
Appa -kya hua kanna, what u r looking at.
Ishita -main thik ho jaaungi naa, appa?? She asked in a broken voice.
Appa -haan kanna, why u r asking so. He said while his eyes too turned moist.
Ishita -mujhe bahut darr lag raha hai, appa. Main mar gayi toh. She said and burst into tears. Seeing her crying appa too start crying. He hugged her tight and said -aisa kuch nahi hoga, kanna. U will be fine soon.
Ishita -mujhe kuch nahi hoga naa appa, main pehle ki tarah ho jaungi naa. She asked making appa tongue tied as he remembered doctor's words that ishita can never conceive. He was just looking at her trying to say something to console her but like words were not coming out of his mouth. Seeing him like that ishita started crying more loudly. Seeing the situation going out of control, Raman walked to them and said -kya appa, aap ro rahen hai. Itni choti si bimaari par, aur meri gudiya ko bhi rula rahen hai, not fair. Arey it's a small thing and very soon my doll will be like before, chirpy,smiling and always teasing me. Naa gudiya. He said looking at ishita, when she asked -aisa hoga naa raman, main thik ho jaaungi naa.
Raman cupped her face and said -ofcourse doll, aisa hi hoga. Very soon u will be all fine. He said while appa get out of the room not able to bear the pain. Raman look at appa and want to go to him but ishita was hugging him tight all scared. He first consoled her and then went to appa .
Raman saw appa standing in a corner and crying. He went to appa and said -kya hua appa, kyun ro rahen hai.
Appa -toh kya karun main, meri nanhi si gudiya, jisse injection se bhi dare hota hai, usse itni badi takleef de di murugan ne. Woh kabhi maa nahi ban payegi, Raman. Woh kaise bardasht karegi itna bada dukh, woh toh tut jayegi. He said crying.
Raman hugged appa tight and said -kaise tut jayegi, appa. Hum tutne denge kya, no, we will not let her shatter, hume uska sahara banna hai.
Appa -main kya sahara banu, kanna. Main toh khud tut raha hoon, meri eklauti bachchi hai. Uska dard nahi dekh paa raha main ,Raman. Kaise kahun usse ki ab kabhi kuch thik nahi hoga, kabhi kuch bhi pehle jaisa nahi hoga. He said and was crying hugging Raman .
Raman -aisa kuch nahi hoga, appa. Unke keh dene se meri gudiya kabhi maa nahi ban payegi. I know she will be as normal as we all r. Aur agar nahi bhi hua bachcha, toh bhi mujhe koi fark nahi padta, all I want is to see my gudiya happy and healthy. He said while appa was still crying when Raman said -achcha appa, aap bolo. Do u want ishita to get married to me. He asked to which appa nodded.
Raman -toh agar gudiya meri biwi banegi, then why u r worried. Mera pyaar iss problem se bada hai, I just want her, Aap kyun nahi samajh rahen. I just want her fine.
Appa -but how she will react knowing this??
Raman -yeh jab hoga tab dekha jayega but for now,hume uska khayal rakhana hai.chaliye .
Appa -tum chalo, main aata hoon.
Raman -chaliye naa appa.
Appa -tum jao naa, I am just coming. He said to which Raman nodded and went.
Raman reached the room and saw ishita trying to have soup herself. He went to her and said -u want idlis naa.
Ishita -haan but amma is taking so much time and I was feeling hungry, toh main peene lagi.
Raman -ok but why u r having it urself. Let me feed u. He said and start feeding her.
Raman was feeding her soup while she was just looking at him. Raman look at her and said -kya hua, kya soch rahi ho??
Ishita -yahin ki meri wajah se aapki kitna loss ho raha hai. She said to which Raman just look at her.
Ishita -mujhe pata hai ,aap itne dino se school nahi jaa rahe aur naa hi office jaa rahe hai,maine dekha u avoided calls from ur office. Toh hua naa aapka loss. I am sorry raman, because of me u have to incur so much of loss.
Raman kept the soup aside and said sitting close to her -jab tak tum mere saath ho, mujhe kisi aur cheez ki parwah nahi. Aur duniya ka koi bhi loss yaa profit meri gudiya se upar nahi hai. Samjhi tum.
Ishita kept her head on his chest and said -raman, u really love me??
Raman -tumhe nahi pata.
Ishita -pata hai but I don't know how u can love me so much when u r just so small.
Raman -tumhe kisne bataya ki pyaar karne ke liye ki age hoti hai. It's not about age gudiya, it's about feeling. I may not be big enough to name the feeling as love but the feeling I have for u is nothing less then love also. So I can say that I love u alot. He said and wrapped his arms around her.
Ishita -u know raman, kabhi kabhi mujhe darr lagta hai, ki agar mujhe kuch ho gaya, toh Aap phir se sad ho jayenge. Agar main mar gayi naa, toh sad mat hona, dusri ishita dhoondh lena.
Raman look at her and said smiling -main sad nahi hounga, u know why, kyunki main tujhe kuch nahi hone dunga. Mujhse matarani ne hamesha meri khushiyan cheeni hai but I will not let her snatch u from me. Tu meri gudiya hai aur hamesha mere saath rahegi, samjhi tu. He said looking at her to which she just nodded and kept her head on his chest.raman smiled and pecked her temple softly.
