Do you guys remember "My Best Friend's Wedding"? Well, the storyline was quite different than what's happening in SZ right now.. But what if all these trials and tribulations were to exist only to let Manya realize her true love and happiness lies with Om instead of Akash? I am a HUGE Akash and Manya fan but let's face it.. Akash loves Roopa and I don't want Manya to end up like Anjali of "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai" where only the death of one person leads Akash to realize his love for Manya... C'mon.. that would be so not fair to Roopa or Manya.. I would not like Manya to have sloppy seconds now.. She's the lead protagonist of the show and she deserves better than this..
Besides, what if Om were to be there along side of Manya during thick and thin? What if he were to care for her genuinely and develop a soft corner for her? Just like Julia Roberts in "My Best Friend's Wedding", Manya can eventually settle with Om.. I don't find anything wrong with their pairing actually. In fact, there is this innocence that exudes from both of their characters which u can't find in Akash's role.. Akash is more flamboyant and casanova in nature... He's a great guy though but there is this element of basic simplicity lacking in him.... I find that in Om these days.. The way he's been caring for Manya... Gosh, makes me adore him even more!!!
Remember... "Sometimes the greatest journey is the distance b/w two people" 😉 ~
Bottom line is: I am glad Om has been this caring and loving towards Manya.. Manya needed a friend to share her sorrow with and she can obviously no longer depend on Roopa ... So having Om by her side would do her good and will make her even stronger as a person. If nothing else, Manya and Om have definitely found a long lasting friendship within each other that I am sure will be cherished forever 😉 ~
