His worst films:

Flying Jatt opened at 7 crores

Munna Michael - opened at 6 Crores

Compared to:

Ranbir - 5 Crores- Bombay Velvet

Varun - 5 Crores- October

I know genres make somewhat of a difference, but nobody was ever interested in FJ or MM - they were considere dead on arrival 😆 they were not nearly as hyped as BV or October.

In these times of Internet

people are well informed about the look, genre, feel of the movie

October was always meant for a audience with "acquired taste"

Tiger is good in action no doubt.Happy for him . i feel we should always be happy if someone does well

But what Varun has done through this film is spectacular

The story is very dark, deprressing yet very emotional.

In such situation varun carries the film.If i want to watch it again in theatre is because of varun's performance rather than shoojits film

Tiger can nevr pull of such content driven cinema

Varun will get blockbusters ahead. But this film will be regarded as one of best Indian films and one of the best in Varun's filmography.

When he grows 60yrs..the students of film studies will study this film and see his performance for reference.

No one wud see baaghi. But i am happy for tiger

Genres make a difference. Tiger wouldn't be someone to try a film like October and that's completely fine - he is killing it, in fact unbeatable in the action-masala lane.

Varun consciously wanted to try something different - an experiment, if you may - and it didn't go his way. October isn't Judwaa 2 or a Badri type of film (100cr earners) the audience is used to paying for a Varun Dhawan film - it's polar opposite in fact right from the trailers. But FJ and MM (which failed) can be slotted in the same category as Baaghi 2 (blockbuster). That's the difference for me. 😊
