circulating after Deepika and Ranveer were
reported to have had a secret engagement
in Sri Lanka where they were holidaying
with their families around New Year.
However, the actress later shot down the
rumours in the midst
of Padmaavat promotions. There was a lull
in news about their relationship then. But
now the stories have started again about
the couple making their relationship official.

wedding for Deepika-Ranveer mid-year?
According to PeepingMoon.com sources,
neither Deepika nor Ranveer have marriage
on their minds now. Both are deeply
involved in their respective careers. And
reports of a wedding in Switzerland, of a
South Indian style marriage and grand
ceremony in Mumbai, of Deepika choosing
her wedding trousseau to be done by
designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee (over
Bollywood maven Manish Malhotra), of a big
fat destination beach wedding, of the
parents of both actors looking at dates
between September and December are all
the figments of imagination.
Deepika and Ranveer, who met and hit it off
on the sets of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Ram
Leela in 2013, have been dating steadily for
five years. But they have not talked about
marriage still. Deepika had said in an
interview, "When we're with each other, we
don't need anything or anyone else. Yet, it
would seem like marriage is on the cards
going by the Bollywood news reports.
One website took the gossip to the limit by
claiming that according to friends of the
couple, Deepika and Ranveer had already
quietly tied the knot in a secret ceremony at
a beach destination at which only their
immediate families were present. The
reason behind the secrecy was the couple's
wish to begin their married lives together
without the media circus. A series of
celebrations and a reception for Bollywood
would be held at the end of this year, the
story added. The intention of the story
came out only when its date of publication
was realized April 1.
