I honestly tried to like Rudra-Bhavya story when they introduced it...😆

To be frank i was sceptical about it till some time because they had scrapped the character Saumya whom I loved and also put a halt on Rumya...😕

But gradually The idea of Rudra pairing with a strong bold police officer caught my attention...

But the leaps that happened in their relationship kinda left me confused...everything happened within a blink of eye...Both Shivika and Rikara had an amazing story development...but that was missing with Ruvya...

Most of the times they showed the song sequences for Ruvya...I was like when did their relationship develope so gehra...?

The truth was that they had a premise for exploring Ruvya...They could have worked on the sultan angle( Bhavya's parents and little sister got killed by him) and Rudra supporting her through it...

But they outta blue made Sultan, Sultana who looked young enough to become Bhavya's classmate...scrapping the track

...

then got her suspended on the bribe case to make Bhavya Rudra's bodyguard...And the entire track starting from Bhavya-Manav marriage attempt Rudra's character was butchered to maximum...And then the revenge phase of Rudra version 2..

Then Bhavya left Rudra after getting insulted over n over...at least they could have made Rudra's realization and resumption beautiful...but Rudra wasn't even shown missing Bhavya... And brought somu who brought back Bhavya for "nobody knows what" reason...

They destroyed Somu and Rumya which was absolutely unnecessary...

And then suddenly Bhavya too accepted Rudra's proposal and before we know they are planning the wedding...

If they wanted people to like the character they should have wrote it that way...At no point did the couple talk properly to each other...And the CV's want people to believe that RuVya are in love with each other...?

Making Somu negative was the worst decision the CV's made in Ruvya story...even bringing her back as a well wisher wouldn't have messed up things this much...like Mallika track...

By making Saumya negative and all the things that happened as preplanned ones they ruined everything...

For me the answer for your question''Why not Ruvya" is that they don't make any sense ...

No one is bashing Bhavya. At least not on this thread. I don't understand people bashing actors for the characters they play. It's really silly to mix up reel and real life like that. Though I understand the frustration behind it.

I ship Ruvya now just because they are the end game though I still would like to see their story. I am a Shivika shipper on and all but it honestly makes me so mad not to see other couples get their story built up. I started watching show because of the 3 brothers angle. It was a refreshing concept. Different from other saas-bahu sagas out there. However, even this show has sadly turned into one. I just want to watch a good story line progressing in the story. It feels like we're in the same place as we were 6 months ago.

@Red: I'm of the opinion that Chemistry can happen after developing them beautifully too...don't know if any of the couples in sabun land had this chemistry factor in the first episode...it was a gradual process...

Never have cared much for the off screen drama happening anyways...it's the call of the CV's ..."hating" a character because she apparently "Replaced" a much loved character is not true...

@Green:. And about bashing the actress for the kick...why would the actress be bashed for something her character did in a scene...?

all are upset with the kicking scene...with Bhavya...not Mansi...

Because that was something no vamp/villains in IB had ever received...Even the worse ones got a free ticket...then why did Somu get this treatment...?for badmouthing Rudra...?To be frank I didn't find anything wrong with what Saumya said about Rudra...

this is the man who Stood crying in front of the media when he was accused about fathering a child with Saumya...arey batha tho dethe ki there's been no such relationship between him and Saumya...?😆

Besides we don't go around kicking people just because we are upset about something they said...

@Violet : And about the comment that if Annika had done the same everybody would have cheered...why do you think people felt sorry for Svetlana and Saumya during the exposure scene...?

Also did you see Annika kicking Tia in any scene during the initial phases of IB...?It was all the war of brains...not brawns...

There's a certain standard the heroes and heroines of a show have to keep while dealing with villains...

Stooping down to the level of vamps/villains leaves a bad taste...Some tede mede rastes are ok...but this whole kicking thing and then humiliation dance n all that...that's just too much...

We had a most classy Tia exposure...compared to that this one was just...😕

Trust me it's not about who did it...at least not for me...Agar Annika kick mari hothi tho bhi I would have been upset...

Also the situation plays a great role in justifying the act...

If the same kick had happened when Veer tried to kidnap Bhavya then it would have been justified...Even I would have cheered it...That's nayi soch...a girl taking down a guy who tried to kidnap her...but the cv's had different plans there...

They made Bhavya show her policegiri on a unarmed vamp who was just badmouthing but not on a guy who tried to kidnap her...?😆

Didnt like Bhavya initially but now she looks good and Ruvya also look good together.. the only botheration is Saumya as vamp and bitchy. If you watch the old videos..its hard to connect with a girl who was good and bonded well with the family turned into a horrible character ..

In my view it's not the story, initial days of DBO and after merging also they gave enough scenes to Ruvya even more than other two couples but to me they never clicked together. Rumya always create magic on screen even now when Soumya is vamp when they both stand together they look amazing. Now they presented Soumya in real bad light in the exposure so i can hate her but that does not make me like Ruvya because for me their screen presence together do not work at all whatever is the story or scene.

To be honest writers didnt exploit potential areas in Rudy love story be it RuVya or RuMya. Ishqbaazi seems to become a full time Nafratbazi. At first they promised to bring Neha back soon so We expected Bhavya to just be a medium to make Rudra realise his folly but when our hopes got diminished and decided to give RuVya a chance they brought Soumya and not just that they made Saumya lose they essence of her character,her innocence.

Rumya story cud be exploited as A good girl bad boy story and maybe the body shaming thing too...Foodie and a Fitness freak love story and balance they strike. Just like they showed in initial days.

Even RuVya cud be a love story against Age gap and all...But frankly Bhavya seems to be non responsive just a FL for namesake with no character of her own. Atleast Annika or Gauri have their own problems,Bg story or character build up. But her revenge story lacked the conviction or passion just like her . Also after Shivay or Omkara fell in love small changes could be seen in their demeanour but what abt Rudy ? Atleast a kind of chemisty was seen In Rumya but when you see Shivika Rikara and RuVya in same frame...It looks forced.

Its nothing like we are obsinate viewers and not ready to adapr to changes but they must aleast have "some" logic..So many times leads have been replaced or lead character been dead in serials and FL/ML paired with another but gradually we do accpet the new pair. But here how will the audience be convinced when Actors /Makers are not themselves conviced.When did we get a private hearty talk between them? Private couple moments? Its always Groupbazi..and even then they dont stand out like shivika../OmRi...

So now Why RuVya...Why not RuMya...?

P.S i have moved on after not only my hopes but emotions got crushed by kick given by Bhavya to somu...How dare she? Just like Gul wanted I have moved onto another channel/show even i checked forum after days today...and came by here. This is only my grievance and not to hurt or offend anybody . But Gul and Bhavya can take offence if they please. Never in my life will i accept RuVya after that kick scene...Utter non sense it was...🤢😡

Edit: I despise Bhavya and not mansi just to be clear.

First of all, thank you for creating this thread. So far, all the posts and discussions in this thread have been very peaceful and mature.

I have always liked the innocent and bubbly RuMya. Together they were cute in one scene and hot in the next. It was a new, young and fresh kind of school love kind of romance. Perhaps one most of us can relate to.

In highschool, college, university or life in general, we all go through our fases of insecurities. Soumya for example was the bubbly chubby nerd who did give a damn about fashion, looks and Handsome boys. Rudra being the hot dude in school has had his own issues and insecurities. Together they would fit perfectly well like yin-yang.

We were able to see RuMya's chemistry and identify with them at some level. Have we not all been in love with the most popular babe or hotty at one point? Perhaps more reason to see a fresh kind of love for which we were all hoping for.

Chemistry is not about looks (alone). It is just something magical which works between certain people. A click, a connection. Something I could sense in RuMya and not RuVya.

The fact that more time was taken in character development for Soumya and RuMya, more appealing storyline options and the sizzling chemistry, is perhaps a big reason why Bhavya and RuVya are not (easily) accepted.

I do find Mansi very beautiful. But the character Bhavya is not appealing to me, and RuVya till date has not been able to intrigue me. Their story, her story seems messy, rushed and not interesting.

An example, RuVya wedding happened, but without any attention on the couple itself. If it was just a matter of stopping RuMya wedding and teaching NB a lesson, why not have the wedding ceremony later on? With their family present, wait for Dadi to come back home. Why the hurry? Why not give RuVya fans what they deserve, some beautiful scenes of the couple? RuVya fans wanted only RuVya as end game or also lovely mindblowing scenes of the two? Rasam are being performed. But I don't feel like a wedding took place. Any RuVya fan who can honestly say it was the wedding they hoped for? Rudra all of a sudden is in a hurry to go have SR. And even during Rasams Soumya is mentioned, albeit in a bad joke about Soumya's weight. Hurry seems the word which sums up RuVya best.

When there is hate marriage lots of time and effort is spent on Rasams and creating romantic atmosphere. But this is supposed to be a love marriage... And then they show nothing.. Why?

It is almost like the creatives know the answer to 'why not RuVya?'

If they show a good story, fabulous chemistry, if they can make me forget the bubbly Soumya and Sizzling RuMya I would not mind RuVya at all. So far, it seems something which might not happen for a long time, because it looks like raaz after raaz will be revealed. Not much time for romance.

Thank you for your thoughtful reply. I agree with all your points. I completely forgot about the college scenes between them. It seems like forever ago! They went to the same college and then makers just tossed that story line aside starting afresh. I can't believe I forgot about it! The wedding honestly was disappointing. There was NO interaction between the couple what so ever. I agree that they want to show IBs winning over NBs but they could've done that while showing some cute rasams b/w Ruvya. Rudra and Somya appealed to me because of their fresh pairing. It could've been use to portray a positive message about body image. Rudra- super obsessed with building his body. Somya- completely happy with her own body. So much potential! I remember being so sad when their story wasn't taken forward that I didn't watch DBO for some time because of it. However slowly I warmed up to Ruvya but then they spoiled it by completely changing Bhavya's character! I wanted a strong, INDEPENDENT police officer not this submissive, people kicking, 'falling in love with the guy and forgetting about her job' girl. I am really disappointed but still very hopeful. Let's see what the future episodes bring in.

I have been watching aishqbaaz from starting and Saumya had been there for a long time.

I really like rumya chemistry.A immature Rudy falling in love with Mauture Saumya was an amazing story.In fact Saumya not only shared the relationship with Rudy but also with Dadi,Anika,Omkara(He I fact made her his sister),Shivay.

In fact she used to call them bade Bhaiya And bade Baal wale bhaiya.

Then suddenly she disappeared and they brought in Bhavya.rudra just saw her and fell in love.It was very weird.I watched thei part but honestly I found no chemistry between them.They were too boring.

And then CV's brought Saumya back.What was the point of bringing Saumya back?They made her negative so that people forget Saumya and accept Ruvya.But I guess this step had made many people atleast me dislike Ruvya more.😉😆😆

It is because of the inconsistent illogical stories that is adding up for us to choose RuMya over RuVya.. Not only is the opposite attracts between them a beautiful most relatable story (I would choose that over age differences.. Especially, when the age difference is so less.. Dil Sambhal Jaa Zara and Aapke Aa Jaane Se handles or handled that topic with approximately 20 years in between).

Too bad made Soumya evil in this level. But... In soap land she can turn positive again just like that. I still think Rudra fell in love too quickly with Bhavya's looks. The immature shallow Rudra might miss all the Survey facts one day.. Maybe just maybe there are again possibilities to go either way.. But ok, let's not hold on to false hope (I am talking to myself here).

I still don't understand why Soumya brought Bhavya back, if all she wanted was to take revenge and Bhavya's place and marry Rudra.. Because of such details not adding up, shows that either last moment adjustments were made, scenes were cut or adjusted..

But ok.. I will never understand why RuMya was chucked like that, but I have no choice.. RuVya it is then.. TRP is not so much because of RuVya wedding but more the suspense and hope who and how wedding will or won't take place and now with rapid raaz reveals. What Shivaay was not able to do all this time regarding Veer And the Villains, was unravelled within a week. Amazing!
