It is frowned upon even here in West. If a teen gets pregnant it is a "statistic". It's not about all unwed Mothers. But Teens are a high risk group. So in that sense, what has happened with Saisha is a reflection of a teen's poor choices that lead to them having to face many adversities at a young age, and responsibilities they are not ready for.

While humiliating such kids is not the answer, it should not be glossed over either. Because personally, I have seen what happens to a society that normalizes Fatherless homes or woman who just have children without a Father as a norm. It does not create balance in society. Kids do need two parents. Yes a woman or a man by themselves can bring up a child. But that is by no means ideal.

In the case of Saisha, she has done a grave mistake by being intimate with a man she doesn't even know that well. The guy himself is at least 8 years her senior and should have known better the consequences of unprotected sex. But he too ends up giving into the situation and to some extent took advantage of a starry-eyed naive teenager. You would expect a little better from a supposedly grown-up guy like KK! This whole thing could have been put behind them if not for Saisha becoming pregnant.

So if they want to give a message, the message should be to think twice in situations like this. Because sex is not a joke or a game. It is a big responsibility. If you are going to have sex, especially at a young age like this, then you should be prepared to face the consequences too.

what you said is 100% true. forget that we dont like the actress. can we actually sympathize with saesha? she was wholly responsible for her action. i dont even blame kk here. Sex is something willingness of two people. how can a person tag a one night stand as true love? kk maybe attracted to saesha! maybe after that one night stand he claims as true love out of guilt! u may feel that im speaking like a chauvinist here. but im not this pregnancy is only because of saesha stupid puppy love towards kk. how can we sympathise in such situation. we may talk about freedom. that a girl can go anywhere, wear anything i don blame that but keeping safe once respect is in a girls hands too. you cant blame the other when you roam about shameless.

p.s: saesha is old enough to know what is right and what is wrong! she should have resisted in this situation. when both r responsible for khaand why blame the men alone!

Khanna family lives in a very weird society.
When their son lived with his ex-gf and his supposed child with her along with his wife under the same roof , nobody seemed to care what the society would say.

Now that this Sasha is preg from an act by her own consent and the lack of protection ,they are thinking about the society.
And blaming the guy.How convenient.

I agree that whether we are vocal or not society has some prejudice towards unwed mother's and children born out of wedlock even today but it's not as blatant and OTT as this show is projecting. They have already shown us the story of Avni who has battled all this and it would be nice to see her overcome all that and make a happy life for herself with other real problems. Just coz the show is called naamkaran and began as a story about a child who bore the taunts of society for being "illegitimate" and paid the price for the actions of her parents, her regressive grandma does NOT mean that after 400 episodes we come back to square one. There's so much more to show us. For all of last week all we have seen is neils anger and denial for a few secs and girgit story. When will avneil handle their own issues? Is it necessary that their union has to be only to solve missions and fight "evil" people.

Society is prejudiced about Illegitimate children but it has a lot to do with how the mother behaves and raises that child. If she has self respect and dignity, the child automatically imbibes that too. Off course there are exceptions but unless we respect ourselves and our choices, no one will respect...legitimate or illegitimate. We have a very well know example of Masaba Gupta. She is Vivian Richards and Neena Gutpa's daughter. Neena Gupta had her out of wedlock but the girl has made a good name as a designer. Now whether she faced any hurdles while growing up, I don't know. But the girl has lived with dignity. Had seen a couple of tweets she posted when trolls taunted her about her birth. So a lot depends on us. Society never leaves anyone...but if we are strong, we can handle everything. People can say that they are part of privileged society so rules are different for them. But I have seen enough unconventional people in my life to know this is not true.

Regarding Avneil...I don't know why they need Saisha to resolve their differences. Why can't Avni fight for her love? Why can't CVs show her sharing her fears to Khannas, if not Neil? Unless she speaks they won't know. Avni never speaks and that's why we are still moving in circles!

I do not wish to speculate anymore...just tired of Saisha rant and her antics! I am on the verge of saying..."I don't care!" There is enough stress in the real world to take NK's stress. "Khichdi" is starting so I guess, At least I can watch that on the weekends and have silly laughs. Hopefully it will be as good as it was earlier.
