This mom-daughter's relationship is too toxic and I think its mostly because of beeji. She seems to put her sons and their families above her daughter.
Once there was a situation with acquaintances of my family, a family of two brothers, each brother has a daughter who's of marriageable age, one brother is rich while the other brother not so. One day there came a rishta for the not so rich brother's daughter who wanted a certain amount of dowry (I know its a crime but highly prevalent), as they couldn't afford the expnses they let go off that rishta. When I came to know about it I asked my mom then why din't the other brother who's rich and could afford din't grab the chance as the guy is rich and good-looking. What my mom told me is that its just unethical to do such things among family members.

Then isn't it the same unethical thing is what beeji did here!! She stole the rishta of her daughter's child for her son's and even if Silky gave consent its just not right. I don't support Laali on many other things but I do support her anger on her mom and brother's family, look what's happening Sumer-Silky have found themselves right for each other., so honeko kaun rok sakta hain!!

Yeah agree to your post. Dadi should not have done that. I too found it very unethical... Dadi has a soft corner for Meera bcoz guess she's elder to Silky and is unable to get a suitable groom...

But Lali anyways is a very selfish and a mean character...

Absolutely agree with your post.
And for me the whole family is toxic. Dolly's so called dream of seeing her daughter married into a rich family is one of the biggest problems in India's marriage scene. This fixation is exactly what made beeji steal her grandchild's alliance. And the makers are passing it off as a daughter's attempts to make mumma happy n thus generate sympathy. The whole thing doesn't sit well with me.

I just hope there's at least one scene where each of these characters incl meera say out loud n clear that their thinking has been wrong. Just showing the "poor" family come out of evil intentions of Sumer n co wouldn't cut it for me. No one is cheating the dhingras... They are in this situation more or less due to themselves.🤢

agree to the post totally. In one of the scene, Meera told her dadi, that I know u love me the most n wl do anythng for me.
For meera, more than 18 alliance was rejected. For silky there s no such problem.
Beeji just wanted her grand daughter to be happy.

Down the line, i dnt thnk wht happend was correct though...may be bcoz of that Sumer was actually never meant for Meera...

You are right, their relation is kind of toxic. Once i asked my mom 'why nana and nani love my cousin more than me?', i was a child then. She said i am a daughter of their daughter an she is of son🤢. This is the problem of society maybe😕.
In here i feel dolly is more a problem. Maine tuje pahlebaar apne haato mein lete hi socha tha... teri saadi mein mehendi mein khud banaugi🥱. I mean seriously... maybe because of her attitude and obsession of meera ki saadi and disturbed ghar ma mahool, beeji did all this syappa.

I agree wat Beeji did was very unethical..But i think her intentions were not wrong as per say..Meera has been rejected many times..As a grandmom she was thinkin tat Silky wil anyways get a better one coz shes gettin groomed in Soni kudi but Meera wont find a suitable one coz of their low income too..Tats the reason she tuk Sumeir alliance without Laalis knowledge..I agree she was completely wrong, but her intensions were not tat Meera shud get a better alliance than silky..Her intensions were tat Silky wil anyways get a gud match,Meera hasnt been gettin kinds..
Laali is also a very selfish woman,so i actually dnt feel one bit sorry for her neither Silky..Silky knows Meera is getin married to Sumeir, but stil she gave into Sumeirs words willingly😕
