We are just a few days away from witnessing the return of our favourite childhood show, if I may say; where the much-loved and absolutely adored Khichdi is all set to make a comeback on television after a hiatus of 13 years.

For years and years, the fans have been eagerly waiting for the return of their beloved show and guess what, their wishes have been heard.

While, things have turned out to be great and everything looks extremely positive for the show, an unfortunate incident occurred with the makers recently.

Time and again, we have come across various instances of how major films get leaked these days before it releases. And it was the makers' misfortune, that something similar also happened with Khichdi.

Producer and actor, J D Majethia recently revealed how the first episode of the show was leaked on the largest video streaming platform, YouTube.

The saga, however, turned out to be a bittersweet experience for the makers, as the leaked episode went on to garner instant attention and fetched thousands of views in a matter of few minutes.

In wake of this, JD also mentioned how heartening it was to see the overwhelming response of the episode, however, the leak, in no manner was ethical.

And after learning about the leak, the episode was immediately taken down.

So readers, I understand the uncontrollable wait for the show, but in no way, it is fair to the makers. Piracy is the worst enemy and we certainly should collectively decide to be against it and respect the art and artists.

Nevertheless, the saga has now ended and the makers and us viewers, are in high spirits to watch the show from 14th April, 9:00 pm only on Star Plus and Hotstar.

Yes! Only on the above mentioned medium and nowhere else. Are you thrilled to watch Khichdi on your TV screens again?

Also, Sarabhai gained a cult status a long time after it aired, which is not the same case with Khichdi..
Khichdi was funny for me with all its lame PJs when I was a child.. now when I watch the old episodes, all it can get out of me is a facepalm.. not even a chuckle..
Although I hope the producers have learnt from the mistakes of Sarabhai2 and Khichdi2 turns out better .. desperately need some good comedy

Well, it depends. Not everyone's taste in comedy is the same. I used to like Sarabhai episodes when i was a kid. But honestly to me, when i watch the old episodes of Sarabhai now, i kinda find it to be bland. Maybe it dint stand the test of time for me.

But Khichdi has always been super funny. Even the old episodes makes me crack up! That's why the Khichdi movie also keeps showing up on movie channels every now & then. As it stood the test of time & people still find it funny.

Same cannot be said for Sarabhai. That's why i guess it premiered as a webseries, instead of a full fledged TV show.
