Director Rajan Wagdhare announced that they are coming for a new season with new actors as per public demand . They have not changed the old script nor dialogues and only gave it a contempary touch . So more than season 2, it's a remake. It's coming on Sab tv & shooting of 30+ episodes already done.

If they wanted same episodes of same script, why didn't they simply re telacast old show , is beyond me. Why to waste money in this poor copy, when u have the original with you ?

.Already decided I am not going to watch. But watched some scenes in between. It's just poor to say the least. How horrible those office scenes are. Even after so many years, I can connect with the office humor of old show.

SAB IS NOW TAKN BY SONY. EARLIER IT WAS SAB STAND ALONE.

but Wikipedia is showing shriman shrimati was a DD show, there was another show "aaj ke shriman shrimati" which was aired on SAB TV, original one was on DD according to wiki.

Yes. Original WAS DD , which was aired from 95 to 97-98. That was produced by Shri Adhikari Brothers. In early 2000 these producers made separate channel with their initials as 'SAB' TV. And in that time they created some new shows as well as they re telecasted some of their old shows like SS in 2002-2003. I know this for sure because I have seen both telecasts also on DD and on Sab. Later on they planned part 2 of the show and they even started it. Later on Sony bought Sab tv totally & it's now under Sony. Whenever Sony does something they tend to have everything under their control. They are very ruthless about this . So with the channel they have also bought rights of their shows. So any past show of Adhikari Brothers or even aired on Sab earlier can be used by Sony in every way possible .

Hope it clears doubts.
