So far I feel that Neil's attitude towards Sayesha has been more like that of a well-wisher and not father. When he discovered that Avni is alive, he also figured out that Sayesha is Mishti.
But he didn't panic with the thought that she is kidnapped neither he blamed Avni for keeping her away from him all these years. For his own daughter Neil won't have waited for one day to start the rescue operation. He and his family celebrating Mishti's birthday every year is more like an excuse of celebration to distract themselves and not something they did religiously considering they missed celebrating it this year as they were busy with Jaan.
Neil don't know much about KK and his family but still he came to convince Avni for KK-Sayesha marriage because Sayesha requested him. For his own daughter, Neil would have done a thorough research about the guy before giving her hand to him.
Its like when a child asks chocolate from his uncle and the uncle readily gives it to him to pamper him but his parents will be strict and will not allow the child to have chocolate every time because they know it can lead to tooth cavity.
Neil objected to Kamini and Sweta speaking ill about Sayesha's character because he can't tolerate any woman's insult irrespective of who she is.
After learning that Sayesha is Mishti, Sweta stopped abusing her but didn't regret calling her names. Then Sweta and Prakash became emotional thinking Avni is alive and didn't utter Mishti's name.Had they considered Mishti as their own grand daughter they would have been seen angry with Avni for keeping her away all these years.
Also since channel decided to bring back Mishti and cvs had to keep Mishti somewhere in the show I would say that Avni running with Mishti was better than Mishti staying with Khannas.
Mishti staying with Khannas would have meant that the undeserving Mishti getting the love of a family and enjoying all the luxuries while Avni is struggling in her life away from her family due to her parents.
When Sayesha's lie will be out I don't want Neil and Khanna family to take her side or sympathize with her. In fact I would want to see Bebe or Sweta to point out how she is like her parents and detest her for what she did. Khannas' not so kind attitude towards Sayesha will be more realistic.They are good people but they need not be good to everyone especially their enemies' blood.
