Since they also belong to the glamour world, they have to also look trim and handsome and I feel they should wear makeup and hide those dark circles and pimples etc.

I noticed that outside films , male actors look really common and mundane.

Whereas female actors always look so beautiful in films and outside films also.

u mean make up like lipstick , mascara, kajal etc?...gosh no😳

I think in the movies they do wear subtle makeup mainly to correct skin imperfections and tone.

They wear enough makeup. They wear foundation, concealer, if the roles require it, kohl & lipstick too! Many of the older generation actors all wore lipstick. Many of the younger ones too I suspect, do. Many actors like Shahid Kapoor are completely obsessed by their hair, lol, all his co-actors say that. The men in BW are as vain as the heroines just that their career doesn't depend as much on looks as it does with the women.

@ Blue Ice... no not the feminine make up , but like how they look in films, they should also look in real life. To do that, I think they need to use some products to make their skin and face look good

^^They do!! They use everything like women do, face washes, creams etc & go for laser peels too. Use lot of products on their hair too. Hire stylists to make themselves look good & dress well since they contributes a lot too physical attractiveness. They work out like maniacs & are extremely particularly with their diets. What makes you think they don't.

^ Because I saw that airport look post and generally actors pictures outside of movies.

Male actors esp I felt looked very common and un glamourous , with bad looking skin or sweaty or with dark circles...

whereas female actors look so good reel and real.

^^Ya that's true because women in General are taught to value their looks far more than men which I find so unfortunate! And unfair. It should be equal. In BW it is moreso since looks play such a huge role.

No they do wear makeup...foundation that is. The reason why they look better on screen is lighting and filters that blur out pores etc etc...

Women on the other hand pretty much have the same makeup on screen and off screen so no difference.

ya they do use beauty products, a little subtle ones that blend in with their natural features.. I could spot when some actors wore lipstick in old songs :p

hehe.. they even do eyebrows, waxing, put foundation and all..

I used to watch this men's beauty channel regularly - Blumaan 😆 😳 take a glimpse, you'll see just how some section of men today put so much energy into 'grooming' 😆

They may not wear make-up like girls but they sure do stuggle a lot 😆

As for 'should', I don't like make-up, so no :(

I don't want men to wear ANY make-up, no problem if they have acne scars or any dark circles, I prefer them natural. It's not about being 'man', it's just that I don't like make-up, it's a personal taste, and I would say the same even for women actors.

Taking care of skin and keep it healthy is more than enough.. no make-up pls.

Make-up can make one beautiful depending on the make-up... but i can appreciate it only sometimes when it's outstandingly good - strictly from fashion or art POV, but otherwise I don't like make-up..
