The actors - all the actors now stand to benefit from this 100crore plus hit maybe super hit movie. For DP it cements her position and for Shahid it provides a breather from his string of flops.
Ranveer Singh and Jim Sarbh- ranveer has gained the maximum out of this movie. People seem to be loving him and the way he portrayed his character. I think this is a huge leap for him in his stardom. Jim Sarbh is another one who seems to have emerged as a popular favourite. Can definitely see him getting many more high profile movies after this. Suddenly everyone knows him.
Controversies - won't be surprised if we see many more controversies in the future over some stupid movie now that people have seen the benefits.controvery had become an effective and cheaper marketing tool than the more expensive ads and promotions
Losers-
Karni Sena- with all their appearances and utterings the only thing they managed to do was create free publicity for the movie and expose themselves as shallow charlatans. The fact that finally they are being put behind bars says a lot .
Marketing ad and promotions- team SLB saved a significant amount of money by not having to spend on promotion. For the past couple of months , the whole nation was in the grip of pafnavati news. Every day it was Padmavati this or Padmavati that. I cannot recall any other movie in recent times that was talked about. Tv channels, newspapers, websites all were giving prominence to Padmavati feee of cost .
Audience (the ones who watched bcoz of the controversy) - imagine sitting thru a 2 hour long boring ott fest just because everyone around us convinced us that it had something going for it either in the form of controversial stuff or historical relevance
Winner and looser
SLB - he is of course having the last laugh counting the monies but at what cost. He should thank Karni Sena for the fact that a movie that could have gone the sawariya route is now a hit, many reviewers are rightfully calling him the weakest link in the movie and one almost feels cheated when one realises that so much money was spent to create his cheapest and most tackiest looking movie.
