Producer Siddharth Malhotra has always tried to walk the path less travelled as content maker, with experimentation being a key in his works on TV!!

Haasil, the huge show made under his banner Alchemy Films for Sony TV, came with a classy look and feel with popular actors from the small and big screen being involved!!

However, the show is now all set to close down, and we talked to Producer Siddharth Malhotra on his thoughts.

Says Malhotra, "We are glad to have made a show as classy as Haasil. Nobody will tell that it was a badly made show. I went with my conviction and I am glad I stuck to the original format, and did not intend to do the usual stuff. Agreed, few experiments do not get lapped up by the audience. They preferred to see the drama-rich Laado and Kumkum Bhagya. Having said this, few of the urban audience did watch Haasil and enjoyed the run. I would like to thank my team of writers and actors for doing a great job. Haasil had a great team and we enjoyed making it.

Siddharth P.Malhotra is presently busy with his movie Hichki starring Rani Mukherjee.

Answering media reports of him having let go his shows, Woh Apna Saa and Haasil owing to his big screen commitments, the Producer states, "There is nothing like this. In fact, I am seen in channels everyday even now, as we are pitching new concepts. The decision to opt out of Woh Apna Saa was a sheer financial decision and nothing more. If we had continued to make the show under the hike channel gave us, we were sure to lose money. Hence we moved out of it, while the channel decided to go ahead with another maker. Why will I ever let go of a show which I have made? Woh Apna Saa was a set show with good numbers. Above all, TV has made me what I am today, and I will never leave TV for films. In fact, Hichki is in its promotion stage and there is no need for me to take leave from TV to release the movie.

On future ideas and thoughts, Malhotra states, "We are working on few concepts, both for TV and web.

Wish you all the best, Mr. Producer!!

"Nobody will tell that it was a badly made show"

Like seriously! 🤣

Haasil was a finite series, it was supposed to go off air anyway.

I thought the show was for rural audience. Yeh urban audience kahan se aayi?
By the way even urban audience doesnt like the idea of a guy forcing his girlfriend to sleep with another man and then banging his hand on the wall as if he is the one being tortured instead of the woman who is being forced to undergo literal rape due to his emotional blackmail.

Please someone enlighten this man that Haasil was a pathetically made show!
Huge sets, outdoor locations, classy costumes are not the criteria if a show is made well or badly

Plot is what matters along with the keen knowlege of what viewers want to see.

Haasil was a poorly written show and I guess majority will tell him that it was indeed a badly made show !

As I say desi daru in a flashy , fancy expensive wine bottle

Bottle is not what matters no matter how classy or expensive it might be...what matters is the content inside

If he can't understand this much then his shows will continue to fail

yeah...its given that any finite series supposedly goes off air on TV, much quicker than regular daily soaps.. but wasn't it publicized in his earlier interviews given to same portal that Haasil has 130 episodes worth fixed content with air time of 6-7 months, and his team has a great intriguing story to tell as it has been scripted meticulously for more than an year and he has been closely involved in its execution?

As on today Sony has aired total 57 episodes, so in that case its April time that channel logically was supposed to end Haasil but NOT now.. 😛

Firstly, if urban audiences watch Zee, SP, Colors, Sony Sab over Sony for daily fiction shows during prime time and now a days even prefer channels like Star Bharat, it may seriously have somethings Sony channel heads and its producers need to collectively sit and introspect. Secondly who ever initially watched Haasil at prime time 9.30 pm slot owing to over hyped promos and media releases, how many of those came back after 3-4 weeks, how many could influence new viewers to start watching it..if not, then why?? Thirdly if this show wasn't expensive with so much focus on unwanted grandeur and over emphasized Kundali dosh (rather than on strong characterizations, continuity and unpredictable twists) and if per episode making cost was much lesser, then wouldn't Sony have allowed to air this show full course till Apr? 🤔

So in what way is Indian audience responsible? 😕
