LOL Balki is so obsessed with Amitabh!

But its a great casting coup ...2 fine actors in the movie, Kangana and Amitabh 👍🏼

His frames look far removed from reality, super neat and clean, almost artificial. Who has a miniature train track running through their apartment.

Hope they work on script to make it look and feel authentic.

Yes, ki & ka was full of gimmicks and a let down in execution with regressive lines such as "she wears the pants".

Generally he and his films are so consumed by 'concepts' that they overpower his storytelling. In cheenicum the concept was old man-young woman romance, ki&ka - gender role reversal, Pa - the emphasis was on role reversal of real life father-son and prosthetic gimmicks than the story. He generally picks liberal themes, but ruins it with overdose of messages and drama.

It's tiresome to see Balki's bachchan fanhood which he brings to every film of his. He probably writes a role for ABsr first, then weave a story around his character 😆.

IMO his wife Gauri shinde is far better filmmaker. She is more honest and realistic in approach. It is easy to see that she makes a film just to tell a story.

Kangana movie is the Arunima biopic whose rights just became available in November. Kangana was on board, the director was yet to be finalized.

So the Balki directorial is Arunima sinha biopic? Have they acquired the rights? Cos I heard earlier that Arunima made a demand of a fair percentage of the royalty which the producers refused to comply. Her story story needs to be told and also it has a great potential for a feature film.
