RTH, Agree that we should not be bothered about the personal life of politicians/rulers.. if it does'nt impact the nation😊...But in several times ..they have their impact.....even the famous Trojan war was because of a lady"Helen"😊.....for that matter.....War between Ram and Ravana is because of a Lady...seetha😊..Coming to realistic world😊.....the people in the power need to maintain certain standards...when the authority itself is not proper how can he or she expect others to follow him/her😊.Politics is a field in which the division between personal and private life is very less.they need to be careful and proper😊.
Even today its a mystery..how Princess Diana died.....😕

Hi All,

Finally, Nicolas Sarkozy married his girl friend carla bruni😳.Driving the point home, ...

  1. Does the personal life of a politician impact the ideals or principles he or she adopts?

Political leader never try to mingle his ideas and priciples with real life, vice versa Public look mostly his political image n works..

  1. Is it right to expect the head of a country to be someone like with the characteristics of King Ram of Ayodya..or any one equivalent...(in the sense all good qualities and not bad qualities)?

King make dicision his own....but in democratic country politics have importent role....if a politician take his own dicision, next day we not seen him on that chair,he should play some politics to rule the country😊

  1. As a person while voting for a person "will you bother if your favourite leader is married or a divorce or a lesbian or a gay or a flirt".Does his/her personal life or life style make you think before voting?

I think some percentage of people look how the person live, what he/she can do for society, if the person have the abilities to lead ,handle the situation and he/she should be politicaly right person to elect then vote goes there only.

cheers,

Mythili

Yes, people change with times, that is why some of the eminent leaders become their shadows of yester years and some others become more better.

Hi All,

Finally, Nicolas Sarkozy married his girl friend carla bruni😳.Driving the point home, ...

  1. Does the personal life of a politician impact the ideals or principles he or she adopts?Everybody's decisions are an impact from their own personal life, so yes. Whether they're making the right decision or the wrong decision for the betterment of society because of these personal factors, would be the real question, IMO.
  2. Is it right to expect the head of a country to be someone like with the characteristics of King Ram of Ayodya..or any one equivalent...(in the sense all good qualities and not bad qualities)? No. No human is, after all, perfect.
  3. As a person while voting for a person "will you bother if your favourite leader is married or a divorce or a lesbian or a gay or a flirt".Does his/her personal life or life style make you think before voting? Depends. Would this persons personal life their judgment when it comes to public policy?

cheers,

Mythili

I know for a fact, though, that people would vote for someone just because they're a certain race, chaste, from a certain region, gender, orientation and the list goes on. Some people, here, in the USA, at least, solely vote for the person due to their personal life rather than the candidates take on government policies; what they can do to improve it. Makes me worry for this government's future, really...actually it's present isn't looking so great either.
