Hi All,

Finally, Nicolas Sarkozy married his girl friend carla bruni😳.Driving the point home, ...

  1. Does the personal life of a politician impact the ideals or principles he or she adopts?
  2. Is it right to expect the head of a country to be someone like with the characteristics of King Ram of Ayodya..or any one equivalent...(in the sense all good qualities and not bad qualities)?
  3. As a person while voting for a person "will you bother if your favourite leader is married or a divorce or a lesbian or a gay or a flirt".Does his/her personal life or life style make you think before voting?

cheers,

Mythili

in a world of cause and effect, everything impacts everything else. chandni raat ka bhee effect hota hai. question is of degree.😊

all else equal, someone with good personal character is preferable to one without. at least they wldnt be dipping their fingers into the cookie jar when they think no one is looking. 😉but the key is "all else equal"

As a person while voting for a person "will you bother if your favourite leader is married or a divorce or a lesbian or a gay or a flirt".Does his/her personal life or life style make you think before voting?

not always consciously but i think we gravitate towards people we like/ identify/ empathasize with on a personal level. it's not all about policy or the chattis-gunn they bring to the table.😊

cheers,

u 2, but i prefer waiting till the evening/ weekends myself😆

It should not actually, By the way who adopts ideals, principles these days....People are good enough to have their own, actually they are better than politicians's 😃

2. Is it right to expect the head of a country to be someone like with the characteristics of King Ram of Ayodya..or any one equivalent...(in the sense all good qualities and not bad qualities)?

Yes it is right, he has to be outstanding. but depends on what country it is.

married , divorce, flirt does not make a difference, the other qualities will rule him out. well that is also beacause to give one less answer possible to my little kids, that he is she or she is he or what is it ? otherwise i am not bothered about their lifestyle.

P.S - (my little kids)- to bring out point.😊

no, it shd not, but it does impact their image. some people do look up to them as role models. another factor is, as long as they keep their personal life personal and do not flaunt it in open, in case any thing out of expected norm is there, it shd be just fine.

but then, given a choice of equally qualified candidates, i feel the masses will go for the one who has no skeletons in closet.

  1. Is it right to expect the head of a country to be someone like with the characteristics of King Ram of Ayodya..or any one equivalent...(in the sense all good qualities and not bad qualities)?

it's okay to expect that but this expectation should not, or must not, overshadow the ability to lead. i wld rather go for a flamboyant president if he is really capable and has great leadership skills than a saint who has no clue about how to run the office.

  1. As a person while voting for a person "will you bother if your favourite leader is married or a divorce or a lesbian or a gay or a flirt".Does his/her personal life or life style make you think before voting?

for me personally, depends who all r running for office and which one of them is most capable😊 his/her personal life won't affect my decision unless there's a tie. in case of a tie...looks matter too😛😉😆...woman-uglier the better...if it's a man - yummier the better...given all r equally capable😆

cheers,

After seeing Nicolas speech after being drunk, I was like God bless them.

Topic : Once taken up celeb status being hi fi politician, all actions are monitored personal or public and then do impact.

Past life if something wrong is made visible by opponents or enemies depends on masses on how to take it...in most cases past is subjected to forgiveness if a supporter if not then once in power no one can do anything about it.

Does the personal life of a politician impact the ideals or principles he or she adopts? Yes..character and charisma is important for a leader to be appealing. Is it right to expect the head of a country to be someone like with the characteristics of King Ram of Ayodya..or any one equivalent...(in the sense all good qualities and not bad qualities)? No.. Once elected and taken the oath to serve the country, no-one and nothing should matter.
  1. Married is good , divorce may be not (Gulliani had lower ratings and one of the reason given was he was married too many times.

cheers,

My personal philosophy regarding politicians is that I do not care who they screw and how many times as long as they do not screw the nation.
