New Delhi:Salman Khan's new film struck the right chord with movie-goers and the ticket window such that after itmade over Rs 150 crore in four days of its release. Speaking to news agency IANS, Salman, who turs 52 tomorrow, said: "I thank my fans and audiences for showering so much love onTiger Zinda Hai. It was an extremely challenging shoot for the entire crew, given that we had to pull off some incredible action sequences, some times in the blistering heat and then in the freezing cold." Salman Khan's thriller released on Friday and is enjoying a fabulous run at the box office.

"The love that the movie is getting right now only validates the efforts everyone put in to make a really good entertainer. I congratulate Katrina (actress Katrina Kaif) for her extraordinary performance and Ali (director Ali Abbas Zafar) for his vision and awesome direction to pull offTiger Zinda Hai," Salman Khan added.

Salman Khan's birthday cake was an elaborate multi-tiered one.

This year, Salman Khan's birthday is special for more reasons than one. His film, Tiger Zinda Hai, is currently running to packed theatres and breaking box office records. In just five days, the spy-thriller is racing towards the Rs 200-crore mark, having earned Rs 173.07 crore already.

In fact, in an interaction with the media on his birthday, Salman thanked his co-star Katrina Kaif and said, "She has given me a big gift with the success of Tiger Zinda Hai."

Salman's birthday cake had a Tiger Zinda Hai connection. The cake, which was baked by pastry chef Pooja Dhingra, founder of Mumbai's popular Le 15 Patisserie, had posters of the actor's recent hits, including Tiger Zinda Hai, Sultan and Bajrangi Bhaijaan.

Like every year, Salman hosted a party at his Panvel farmhouse this year too, which was attended by Bollywood celebs like Katrina Kaif, Anil Kapoor, Suniel Shetty and Mouni Roy, among others. Cricketers like Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Kedhar Jadhav also joined in the celebrations.

It's a working birthday for Salman this year. The actor will be busy shooting for an action sequence for his next, Race 3. The film, which is directed by Remo D'Souza, is expected to release on Eid 2018.
