At least EK and GUL sell cliches openly and people willingly watch them

Unlike Haasil makers who are the selling the same cliche under the pretence of unique and path breaking

This plot has been shown hundreds of times on TV and movies

There is nothing new, unique , unpredictable or path breaking about this !

Most of the viewers knew that Ranvir will be behind all schemes...what was so unpredictable about this twist !

Yes makers have to keep TRP audience in mind but Sony TRPs itself are not high and their target audience is urban more than rural masses who watch Star, Zee and Colors

Sony had shows like Beyhadh where their main lead heroine was dark ! and that show became immensely popular for a reason

Sony is a channel known for experimental and unique shows then we as viewers expect the same from them

If makers will not experiment then indian TV will forever be regressive

We often blame Ekta for regressive shows but let's take Kyuki serial as an example...Ekta 10 years ago had the guts to show a mother killing his own son and marrying his wife who was in an abusive relation to his other son whom she loved before marriage!

Kyuki had the highest TRP and rural masses loved it !

If 10 years ago EK could have been progressive in a show which was strictly meant for TRP aunties

then Haasil is a new age thriller which is supposed to be for urban masses...I expected them to show something different...somehting out of the box...to stick to their words when they said that all characters are grey and no one is a villain rather than showing the same cliche where antagonist is the obsessive creepy lover whom the main couple have to defeat by hook or crook and unite in the end !

In fact furst we should all realise that this is strictly business and in business only one thing matters - the bottom line.

He is not burning money for creative satisfaction. He is doing a business to earn his livelihood.

Now coming to sony audience, yes it is urban but still of a higher age group only. I am ashamed to say but yes Indian menatlity is still not very progressive especially when its come to the older generation. They still have double standards for men and women and the makers and the channel have to account for them. Woh bhi kya karein? Sapno aur ideals se pet nahin bharta.

Whatever Ekta also does, she is mindful of indian mentality

Tulsi killing her own son made her almost a goddess because she did it to protect another woman. All over Indianhistory such women are reverred. Ahilya bai holkar being a prime example.

See thecontent will change automatically when public mentality changed. No point in blaming the makers .

we have to accept the fact that it will take a considerable period of time at least 10-15years for a significant change to come in indian tv content.

All Sony shows have love triangle ... The difference is - in one show psycho obsessive lover is ghost , in one it will be a Rajasthani royal (after sometime even he will behave psycho) and in one show it is a Bollywood actor 😆😆

Besides this all shows on other channel have a set fan base and they don't switch channels to watch a new show since they love watching that same show and this is the reason why inspite of having bullshit tracks in some shows you will still find it in TRP topping charts ... Bcz of its loyal audience .. And all such shows have rona dhona , mahan female solving whole world's problem , saas bahu track , kitchen politics , property dispute , an evil character always plotting to make leads and their families life miserable 😆😆 Which majority Sony shows dont have .. They show a strong woman (who sometimes will behave foolish but its ok) , no rona dhona property track , no kitchen politics

Its not that Sony shows have sky rocketing TRP since last so many years + they were catering mostly to younger generation audience .. Except for reality shows like KBC/SD none drama show got TRP above 1.0 and average TRPs were from 0.4 to 1.0 for every show , be it RLHN , EDT , KRPKAB , YUDKBH , Haasil , Beyhad , PPK etc ... Haasil is a finite show so why to tamper with its story and show creepiness ?? What does Sony think that showing all mirch masal , rona dhona the show will top TRP ?? Had'nt they seen the loyal fanbase of other shows on the same slot ?? 😆😆

Ye sab bhi chodo aur koi mujhe ye batao ki why did Zayed , Nikita and Vatsal signed this show ?? They were told the whole story before na that Ranvir will turn into Shaitaan from mahaan and do all sorts of creepiness and Aanchal will just keep on doing patni dharam and Kabir will just be a goody character 😆😆 So why did they sign this show and ruin their hardwork of good acting into this old wine new bottle concept show ?? 😆😆

But I am not talking about what you or I would like. For the elder audience a guy who steals the love of the guy whose family adopted him is not grey. He is black. So why wouldnt CVs turn him into pure black to get sympthy and emotional connect for Kabir at least?

Has no businessman ever made tall claims in the hope that it will get customers and they might get hooked? Most importantly which mother doesnt feel that her child is different special and extraordinary howsover worthless it might be. For a creative team, the show is their child. Give some scope for natural bias.

Further, It is not mandatory that people would only accept a cliche plot but yes the chances that they would not outright reject it are lesser. Cant hang people for being conservative when they are investing millions.

See I am not saying the show is good. You know my real feelings on the current plot. I also wanted a grey love story of Ranver. What I am requesting is we should also be empathetic towards the producers also.
