Dev blinked his eyes rapidly to adjust the harsh bright light .
Only few seconds before his room was warm, cozy - like his private paradise with his Angel in it..
"Ma you told Dev bhai is always a early riser.We girls are lazy logs.. Now see your raja beta snoring and dreaming gloriously till 8" Nikki's giggles not seemed to stop.
'Dream?
How could it be this much livid?
The memory of her petite figure ensconced in his arms was still fresh..
Her smell- the softness of her rose petals against his rough skin still felt..
Even the light Rasagulla taste he devoured from her mouth still lingered in his tip of the tongue. '
Thudd..
Ishwari put the coffee mug with the loud sound (intentionally?) Which broke Dev's trance..
He threw the blanket, rushed to the cupboard, shuffled his clothes thus tried to hide his face from his ma's accusing eyes.
"Nikki, you want his Signature in some college papers, na? Get it, go and have your breakfast " ishwari said while walked past Dev and started taking out his office wears.
"Ma, why are you stressing yourself, I can do my work, in fact I have to learn doing my work myself. Sonakshi too insisted not to pester you often for all my works" Dev tried to protest..
"Banggg"
Another loud sound. This time it's the poor cupboard door.
"Why? What happened to me? Am I bedridden? I am not too sick to do my son's stuff. You get ready I'll bring your coffee" her tone was unusually stern.
Dev nodded obediently and moved near Nikki to check her papers.
'I messed it. Another SONAKSHI?? This Kharghosh arggg..why can't you leave my mind even for a second?" Dev shrugged his head..
"Tere Naam...meri yaadein".. Nikki started singing some romantic Hindi song with moving her fingers in the air as if she was composing the song..
important Note: - with a silly teasing grin..
Dev glared at her asking " what" with anger gladed eyes.
"Bhai I thought Sona di has stolen your heart only but she has taken your mobile too? " Nikki whispered
Dev gave a shocked look now.
"You screamed - sonakshi give back my mobile ' when you woke up. Nikki mimicked like him.
Ishwari who was putting Dev's mobile into the charger turned hearing Nikki's voice.
Dev closed Nikki's mouth with his both hands saying " shhh"
"Ma, ma, where are you? " they heard Riya's voice from downward .
Ishwari threw a final stare to the brother-
Sister pair and left the room.
At the very next second Nikki hugged Dev with a force that made him stumbled a step back.
"Bhai I am happy I am so happy. I thought u broke up with sona di. I was very much angry on you. But Elena di sent me your pictures. Omg omg you have any idea what a sizzling pair you both make. like my siddh baby and... " Nikki went on blabbering dreamily..
"Stop Nikki, breathe, I have no time to hear your siddh baby puran' Dev laughed throwing his head back.
" I know you like your Sona di Very much as she supports you in all your teeny weeny demands, party, picnic and all.haina ? " Dev chuckled remembering how everytime Nikki send Sona to ask permission from him.
Dev threw his towel on his shoulder and hurried towards the wash room.
"I love her - I love her so much because she brought spring in your steps, she brought smile on your face, twinkle in your eyes. You deserve these bhaiya. You deserve every bit of it. The responsibilities you are carrying from the tender age prevented you from living - living for yourself. You are unwilling to share the burden of responsibilities on your shoulders and became stoic , alone and iron. But Sona di gave you- her shoulders to lean on. She will help you to navigate your way to true happiness. She is your missing part bhai. And you look completed with her. I love her for - loving you this much"
Nikki reached near her brother who is more a father for her-caressed his cheek and wound her arms around his torso - laid her head on his heart.
A wave of affection, affinity, tenderness washed over dev as he reciprocated her hug. Dev found his eyes misty with his little sister's love for him. For a moment he didn't understand who is elder between them.
Suddenly she remembered something -broke the hug -ran in front of the mirror and started jumping like a headless chicken..
"Omg my Kaajal, eyeliner.. I smudged them . I spoiled my makeup. And bhai you know what. It's all because of you " Nikki Pointed him with her finger wiped her tears- and marched towards the door.
"Drama queen" Dev with an "unbelievable look- smirked at her .
"Dream is not something you see in sleep bhai. It's the thing that doesn't let you sleep. So work on your dream and make it real soon" saying this the mini
Typhoon stormed off.
Dev halted at his place and could not move for many seconds later.

"Sonakshi, sonakshi her name only. In dreams too and in words too. Who am I to him. No one. And who is she to dictate what my son should do? Should not do?. When I am alive why my son has to do his work?. Many times I told her not to come between me and my son. No she never stops"
"Today he has to take me to hospital .. Usually if I have to go to check up, he would wake up early, pamper me, never allow me to do work saying my p. B would shoot up. He would arrange all the prescriptions-reports even note down some questions to be clarified with the doctor. But today-he even remember ? "
Ishwari immersed in her thoughts and pouring water in Riya's glass but it overflowed and spilled on the table.
"Ma, stop it. You are ruining my suit" ishwari flinched on Riya's shouting voice.
"Ma, is bhai ready? " Riya asked.
"No just now he has waken up.don't know what entered into him and made him this much irresponsible"
"No ma today is your health check up . So he took -off from office.I heard it from Tina. " Riya finished her break fast - stood to leave.
"Oh! " ishwari smiled first time for the day. " He knew. Within minutes he would come calling me to get ready. She mentally slapped her forehead for thinking wrongly about her Dev.
She saw radharani sat for breakfast..
"Bhabhi do you want anything from market. Give me your list.ask vicky too. Kichu! give me house provision list. I will ask Neha too. For Riya office suits.. Nikki asks jean tops.. Bhabhi where is bhaiya? " ishwari was like by magic she Shuddered 10years of her age. Talking dozwn words in a second.
Radharani stuffed the whole Puri in to her mouth got up hurriedly and said "jiji give me 10 minutes. I will change this saree and get ready"
"Bhabhi.. Wo.. Wo. Dev won't appreciate anybody with us. We usually go alone. I mean he in his busy schedule wants to spend time with me" ishwari hesitated to say a direct no to her beloved (?? ) bhabhi.
"It's ok jiji. I'm happy- Dev in all his distractions too- didn't forget this usual custom between you both. Ok, I give my list. I have lots of things to shop" Radha Rani went ahead searching for her son.
After 15 minutes ishwari changed into a new red bordered half white silk saree which Dev gifted her and climbed down the stairs quickly.
There in a grey Armani Trim fit suit with white pristine button down shirt and a brown dotted silk tye - Dev stood near the front door and talking seriously to some body..
'Oh Dev is ready
I'm only late' Ishwari rushed her steps and that's when she remembered that she was not carrying her water bottle .so she went into the kitchen. while filling water in the bottle she heard car tyres screeched off. She came running to the entrance and saw it empty.
"Dev" she called. But her son was not there to respond..
"He has gone jiji "
"But,,,, where? . I was here"..
"To the bangalan..To his sonakshi " Radharani stated..
