Kangana Ranaut on death threats received by industry colleagues: It's extremely wrong
Kangana Ranaut condemns threats to Deepika Padukone, but also says that it is not shocking.

Deepika Padukone has been receiving threats of physical harm by many groups. They allege that her film, Padmavati by Sanjay Leela Bhansali has distorted history. Many B-Town stars including Shahid Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Sonakshi Sinha and Hrithik Roshan have supported Deepika. The film which was to release on 1st December has been voluntarily deferred. The makers have not disclosed the new release date as yet.
Kangana Ranaut recently opened up about the controversy and had said, "Deepika has all my support I am an individual perfectly capable of supporting who I like without anyone's support.
Today, at an event when Kangana was asked about the death threats received by actresses in the industry, she said, "We condemn it, it's extremely wrong. But, like I always say it is not something that should shock you. When my sister was in school, she faced acid-attack, in a professional environment, a superstar tried to put me behind bars. It's a very common thing that happens in our society. Whether you want to attack an individual, or stand up against orthodox thoughts and patriarchy. We can call out individuals and it is not restricted to men, it includes women too. We must attack the thought, we should and we are, may it be through our work, speech or films. Hence, films are most important and we can reach maximum number of people through films.
She also spoke about the joyous occasion of the birth of her nephew and said that the new-parents are overjoyed with the birth of son, Prithvi Raj Chandel.
