I never understood why Katrina Kaif is so vilified by some people.

I can understand why people had a hard time digesting her when she was a newcomer. Back in the day, she could not speak Hindi at all. Her accent was awkward. She could barely act. She only got an opportunity because she was dating Salman Khan at the time. She didn't deserve that break and it was fair of people to hold a grudge against her.

Over the years though Katrina Kaif has transformed within the industry. Her Hindi isn't flawless, but her diction and accent are acceptable. Her acting has greatly improved and I think she has one of the most impeccable comic timing and facial expressions. From what I understand she is very hardworking and a good coworker to have on films as well.

I understand that likes and dislikes are personal preferences. But based on this I feel that people who still abhor Katrina need to let go of their age-old grudge about her unfair break and recognize what she has done on her own merit after that.

PS: If multigenerational NRIs can have unrealistically thick Indian accents then why can't an Indian have an unrealistically foreign accent.

Proud of her. After about 14 years she can speak hindi almost perfectly. I'm sure that after 14 years, she'll learn how to act as well. We just need patience 👍🏼

In Tollywood it's a norm to hv non-native speakers as heroines and somebody else dubs for dm. Sometimes, even thr lip movement doesn't match. Most of dm hired just coz dy r fair n rule for years without knowing acting n d native lang.

Katrina did work hard n it shows n d fact dt she is genuine, makes more likeable to me.

It just sucks that her dialogue delivery still sucks despite being in the industry for over 10 years which really sucks.
